Antopia R6 Ant Bait Station is the new replacement for the Antopia R2 Ant Bait Station. The Antopia R6 Ant Bait station contains many patented features unique to the Antopia station. The new feature of the Antopia R6 is that it holds up to 6 oz of bait (liquid, gel or granular), which is only 1 oz less than the R2 but is easier to anchor more securely in the ground and easier to check the fill levels. In addition to being a weather tolerant, bait station dispenser, the Antopia R6 contains a heavy duty green cover which protects the internal reservoir from weed whackers and also protects the bait from contamination, heat and UV light. The patented green cover on the Antopia R6 Ant Bait Station allows the user to check bait levels without removing it, and it also blends in with any garden or yard application. The Antopia R6 Ant Bait Station uses Feeding Float Technology (FFT) which makes it easier for ants to access the bait and ensures they exit the station safely to bring the bait back to the colony. The Feeding Float reduces evaporation and keeps ants from drowning. The Antopia R6 is made strong for multi-season use and is cost effective. Bait sold separately.

Application |
1. If bait station tab locks are present and engaged , apply downward pressure with thumb and forefinger to release. Pull up on the green cover while lock is disengaged to expose the bait reservoir. To engage the lock, align the flat panels of the green cover with the clear cover guides and apply downward pressure until you feel the tab locks engage. 2. Loosen the soil in the spot where you are going to place the station to width of about 3" and a depth of about 7" with a garden trowel or small shovel. 3. Remove the seal at the end of the entry tube to expose the bait station entry. 4. Place the anchor into the soil with a clockwise turning motion until the entryway is level with the soil. If you encounter difficulty in seating the bait station properly, remove it and loosen the soil more thoroughly, then repeat the anchoring process. 5. Alternatively, dig a small hole to a depth of 7" and place the station in the hole, so that the entryway is level with the adjacent ground, and replace the soil and tamp to hold. 6. Fill the station with approx. six ounces of liquid ant bait. 7. Place Feeding Float on top of bait, centering the float in the chamber, aligned with three Feeding Float guides. |

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
For best results place stations in shaded areas or create shade for the bait station. Avoid placing bait station where it will receive direct sunlight whenever possible.
For use around structures:
The number of bait stations to use will vary with the type of ant and the size of the colony.
For initial placement:
Place one bait station every fifty feet around the structure to be treated.
If any of the bait stations are emptied in less than a week, double the initial placement. Replace baits as needed until feeding activity ceases.

Poor Plastic Quality
By Sako on 06/06/2020
I ordered four of these. As the shipment arrived, bout of the box one of the pieces was already broken. Specifically the two clip locks that attach the green part to the base. As I proceeded to install them in the yard, all of the three other broke in the same spot. This failure does not effect the performance but its not what you would expect from a high priced quality product. Also having kids in the yard, I would expect a secure closer when you have harmful chemicals in these things.

Any bait stations that hold up
By Theresa on 07/24/2020
These are heavy duty bait stations with flimsy clips. That said, it only takes one clip to hold the cap on. If that fails I'll use a zip tie. Ants don't care what is killing them. The overall station will last many years, and is refillable. I think it is well worth the money.

Be patient
By Linda on 09/23/2021
I initially gave these bait stations a poor review because the ants weren't entering the traps. But I left the stations out with honeydew bait and waited. After about three weeks, I'm now seeing many ants in station (and many dead ants). While waiting the honeydew bait started evaporating. This concentrated the sugar in the bait. I think the stations are now working because the sugar concentration in the bait is much higher. So I don't think the problem is the bait stations, I think the concentration of sugar in the honeydew bait needs to be increased two fold to attract ants.

Seemed like a good idea. Used as directed with Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait, but it didn't attract ants at all.

I have purchased 8 PFTGreen bait traps, but armadillos dig them up.
If this is a concern, we recommend that you attempt to either trap or repel the armadillos from the property as the Antopia R6 Ant Bait Station could possibly be dug up by them or other determined large animals. You may want to take a look at our selection of products for Armadillo Control.
