API Floating De-Icer 1500 Watt will guarantee that your stock will remain ice-free all winter long. It features a built-in thermostat and a thermal feedback which is designed to prevent the unit from overheating and ensure energy efficiency and smooth operation. The stainless steel heating element is located on top of the thermostat to make sure it is safe to use even in low-water conditions. This floating de-icer is enclosed in a high-quality rugged plastic that will not sink as time goes by. It is recommended for use in 100 to 300 gallons of water. Though product is completely safe, when using it in a non-metallic tank, make sure to use a metal guard (sold separately) for preventive measures. It comes with 6-ft. cord with sturdy anti-rub protector. It features 1500 watts, 120 volts and 60Hz, plus it is CSA and UL listed.
