    Q
Will Certainty Herbicide - 1.25 oz. bottle kill Dallisgrass?
Is there a good post emergent selective herbicide for dallisgrass in bermuda? Also, what is the best preemergent to prevent dallisgrass?
    A

Certainty Herbicide - 1.25 oz. bottle will suppress Dallis grass. Per the product label:

For suppression of Dallis grass in Bermuda apply this product at a rate of 1.25 oz per acre in a tank mix with 2lbs MSMA per acre and .25 oz Non Ionic Surfactant. Re apply same tank mix 2-4 weeks after initial application.

Barricade 65WG would be an excellent pre-emergent product choice to treat dallisgrass(Paspalum).

  • Asked by Chad from Elizabethtown, Kentucky
    04/03/2012
    Q
I am looking for the herbicide for dandelions, chickweed, and clover. I have tall fescue.
    A
Certainty is not labeled for use on Fescue.  It actually will kill the fescue.

Our most popular general weed control product that is selective, meaning it will not harm your turf grass but it will kill your weeds, is End Run.

End Run is labeled for just about any weed you could have including clover, dandelions, and chickweed and will not harm your grass.  Best of all, it comes with a surfactant already mixed in the product so you do not have to purchase and mix a surfactant separately like you do with most of the other herbicides that we sell.

Here is a link to the End Run:  http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/endrun-herbicide-with-trimec-p-1501.html

  • Asked by Shaun from Braselton, Ga
    02/24/2019
    Q
How long before noticing any symptoms on weeds especially poa annua when using Certainty?
    A

You may notice signs of the poa dying (discoloration-yellowing or browning) within 2-3 weeks after you have applied Certainty but it is normal not to see anything for at least a month. Per the product label, you can make an additional application 4 or more weeks after the initial application as needed. Best results are obtained when target weeds are actively growing & not disturbed by mowing for at least 2 days before and 2 days after application. Warm, moist conditions following application will accelerate activity; cold, dry conditions will delay activity. Drought stressed weeds are less susceptible.

  • Asked by Jason from Atlanta, Ga
    03/10/2018
    Q
Is anyone know the easy way to apply Certainty Herbicide using a hose end sprayer?
I got 14,000 square feet to spray.
    A

Certainty Herbicide like most other herbicides should not be applied in hose end applicatiors. This type of sprayer sometimes is not very accurate, so you can wind up dispensing more/less product than needed in a given area, which can lead to less than desirable results.

3 - 5 small scoops or 1 - 2 large scoops per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft.
    * Use a Surfactant to Increase Effectiveness
    * See label for complete application instructions

    Q
Question about Certainty herbicide. Can it be mixed with Pendulum 3.3 without compatibility issues?
I've done this with Prodiamine before but not with an EC.
    A

Certainty Herbicide - 1.25 oz. can be tank mixed with Pendulum 3.3 EC following each labeled instructions and rates.  Certainty would be added first than the liquid herbicide.  Before tank mixing, a simple jar test is recommended to insure compatibility of herbicides as directed on the label.
