Cy-Kick CS once dried on a surface is not picked up by walking over it and carried inside.
Yes, Cy-Kick CS would kill exposed termites only as long as there are no edible plants in the garden such as vegetables. If there are edible plants in the area, then you could just pour boiling water on the insects. If there is raw wood around the edge of the bed, then you could treat the wood with Boracare or Timbor and then add a water-sealant to protect the wood from termites.
Yes, you could use Cy-Kick CS to kill ticks outdoors. You should spray the entire affected area when treating for ticks, but pay extra attention to areas of dense brush, tall grasses, yard debris, and shady areas where animals like to spend time. If you are spraying to create a barrier, then we would recommend treating at least 5-10 feet from the fenceline. You can learn more in our Tick Treatment Guide here.
Cy-Kick CS when mixed with water is only strong enough to kill small insects, like ants. Your dog would have to eat a truckload of grass most likely to get sick, and he/she would probably get much more sick from the grass then the Cy-Kick. However, of course we recommend anything you can do to minimize your dog from eating the grass. Pets should be out of the area during treatment until the area is dry as well.
We apologize, we are not ware of a generic of Cy-Kick CS. We do offer other synthetic pyrethroids like Talstar which will offer the same effectiveness at a better price point.
Cy Kick CS can be applied to the carpet edge near the molding and around baseboards, cracks and crevices. The rate is 1-2 fl oz per gallon of water. This will not stain your carpet or flooring if used as directed on the product label.
When using an Actisol Compact Portable Aerosol Unit, we would not recommend that you use any wettable powders or a microencapsulated product. Cy-kick is a microencapsulated product so we would not recommend using it in your Actisol unit.
Yes, Cy-Kick CS can be used outdoors to kill cluster flies. It is recommended that you apply the product in cracks and crevices where the pest may harbor or hibernate. Do not repeat applications more than twice a week. Treatments need to be done at least 3 days apart. The mixing ratio is 1-2 fl. oz. per gallon of water.
Cy-Kick CS should not be wiped up after application. Doing this would remove the product and will defeat the purpose of having applied it.
There should be no "side effects" from Cy Kick CS if it is used according to the instructions on the product label. Children and pets should kept out of the area while the product is being applied and until everything is fully dry.
The Cy-Kick CS product label advises to keep all pets out of the area until the product has had time to dry.
Cy-Kick CS is an insecticide only which is labeled to be applied over ornamentals and will not harm your flowers when applied as directed.
Cy-Kick CS cannot be used on anything edible. Something like Hi-Yield Malation would be a better option
Cy-Kick CS is a great product and will do a great job towards helping you to get rid of roaches. For best results, we also recommend that you use a roach bait gel to help get rid of roaches in places where you cannot spray, along with an insect growth regulator (IGR) which helps stop the roaches breeding cycle. You may want to consider using one of our Roach Control Kits, as they contain all of these products together. Pets and people need to be kept out of the area while products are being applied, but can return as soon as all surfaces are fully dry. Please take a moment to look over our article on How to Get Rid of Roaches for more information on how to do a complete treatment for roaches.
We do not recommend storing mixed Cy-Kick CS. You would want to either use the entire gallon within 24 hours of mixing or spray the excess along the foundation of your home.

Cy-Kick CS as well as any other products are not meant to be stored longer than 24 hours once mixed with water. Most sprayer manufacturers warn against storing insecticides inside the sprayer. Storing liquids (even plain water) inside the sprayer can cause the rubber components to deteriorate quickly and make the sprayer inoperable. Only mix exactly what you can use and discard any left over solution outside in the woods or in a place that is not near any bodies of water and thoroughly rinse the sprayer after each use.
Beta Cyfluthrin like Tempo is just a newer version of Cyfluthrin like Cy-Kick. They are both synthetic pyrethroids. Either Tempo SC Ultra and Cy-Kick CS would work great for listed insects. One is not considered "stronger" than the other. A product like Cy-Kick CS is going to last longer typically outdoors than a standard non-encapsulated product like Tempo would. However, faster knockdown may be observed with the use of the Tempo SC Ultra since the beta-cyfluthrin can provide that. Tempo is often used for more aggressive insects like wasps, while Cy-Kick CS is used frequently for larger insects like scorpions. Be sure to refer to both product labels to insure you are using a product appropriate for your needs, or call us at 866-581-7378 if you have more specific questions about your situation.
