Great product. We use it for our home, mainly for yellow jackets and spiders, but now ants, and earwigs. I mix two scoops per gallon, with warm water. I even spray these dumb flowers by our patio, which seem to draw in tons of flies. It works great. Best price here on do my own pest control too!

    cyper dont HELP

    By Lori on 04/24/2012

I bought cyper to kill kudzu stink bugs. We have them all over our house and in the grass. When we come out of the house they attack us. Not to hurt us but they cover us up. All over clothes and in hair. So i bought this big thing full of cyper and do as it says and even add an extra scoop. I spray them, but it dont seem to faze them. Later we will see some dead on the ground but they are still every where. It dont kill them out so really i waisted my money, because more come back.

    Cyper WP

    By Julie on 06/26/2010

    Verified Purchase

This is an amazing product. I only spray the exterior perimeter of my house and no bugs for months. It gets everything from scorpions to roaches. I used it in my barn and pump shed in the country with the same result. A++ It couldn't be easier. A couple of scoops in a sprayer and you're ready to go. I reordered 2 cans this time so I can keep one in each location. I have recommended it to friends.

I was seeing several very large American roaches every night and 1 is way too many! I purchased the 1lb can of cyper wp and mixed it double strength (2 scoops) and applied it AS RECOMMEND.in the last 3 months I have seen 1 roach in the house but it was very unhealthy! I highly recommend this product for anyone tired of products from the local "home improvement stores"

    Ag application Cyper WP

    By Melanie on 06/06/2012

A local CPA suggested using a product with this active ingredient in synthesized form because, in his experience, it provided excellent control of recurrent husk fly infestations, was fairly long-lasting and economical to use. All that's needed is to spray a band of material (with corn syrup added to the diluted formula to make a bait) around the upper trunk/lower branches of the trees. I modified a standard spray rig by raising a boom and stopping all but the end nozzles which were re-positioned to spray up into the tree. The added pressure increased the reach of the spray. This worked pretty well and the suppression was successful. It's only been a week since I applied Cyper WP and time will tell how long it remains effective in this setting. I diluted it first in a small bucket before adding it to a larger tank with an agitator. None of the hoses or nozzles got clogged. One jar has about 45 scoops. At a rate of 1 scoop per gallon, I can spray an orchard (2-100 gal tankfuls) using 4 1/2 jars of Cyper WP. A case of 6 gives me enough to spot spray later, if needed. Very good stuff - and reasonably priced too. One note though: it's almost eerily effective. I've noticed that just about all the bugs are gone - chiggers, ants, grasshoppers, flies, mosquitoes, no see-ums, etc. Not recommended for the gardener or organic farmer who wants to introduce beneficial insects later as a means of controlling harmful insects. The residual effect of this stuff (lasts 2-3 months and withstands weather and several waterings) will probably defeat that purpose. For humans, no bad odor (kind of citrusy at first, then later smells like chrysanthemums) but a very strong eye irritant. Assume nothing. Read the precautions and wear the protective gear. Overall, not a bad experience to apply at all. I've been around much worse and am glad to find this alternative.

    Did not work

    By V2hondasi on 07/27/2014

    Verified Purchase

I used the stated 2 scoops and mixed it in the 1 gallon sprayer. It killed everything the day I sprayed it but once it was dry it did not kill anything. I watched spiders and bugs crawl over the dried area I had sprayed and it did nothing to them. Bottom line it does not work the day after. I live in California if that makes any difference. Maybe our bugs are more resistant? I also sprayed this on a wasp hive and it killed a few the day of the spraying. The next day all the wasps were back and no more had died.

    Kills German Cockroaches!

    By Stephne on 09/11/2014

    Verified Purchase

My husband was a non-believer in poisons that are supposed to kill German cockroaches. But after I sprayed with Cyper WP outside our house (our neighbors have cockroaches), and he sees dead bodies day after day, he is now a believer! This stuff works! My neighbor across the street is going to order this also to protect his place. It does leave a white residue so if you have a dark house it might show. But this residue keeps killing the cockroaches when they come in contact with it. Easy to use. Just mix scoops of the powder in a one gallon spray container. They may not die instantly, but they will die!

    all these dead bugs

    By Craig on 08/25/2014

    Verified Purchase

I haven't had any bugs inside my house yet this year, but the palmetto bugs were definitely swarming outside, and sometimes I'd see 2 or 3 hanging out on the brick wall or sidewalk. Mixed about 4 scoops with 1 gallon and sprayed the perimeter, garage and porches, and my front porch and back door are little bug graveyards. This stuff definitely works. I was spraying Bengal concentrate before which also works, but clearly not with the same power as this stuff. It's supposed to last a few months and it's been a few weeks and the bugs keep piling up. I have not seen another (alive) palmetto bug in the vicinity of my home.

    Can't beat Cyper WP!

    By Pamela on 10/26/2011

    Verified Purchase

We live in North central Oklahoma, and this past summer was one of the most hot & dry summers on record for our state. We noticed about mid-season several black widow spiders around the outside perimeter of our home & inside our enclosed patio. We started looking further, and found even MORE!!! This is unusual for our area. We have children & small pets, and this was a horror picture in the making! After using several store purchased insecticides, like Ortho Home Defense, and finding that these brands do not kill black widow spiders, they are only stunned for a while, then later crawl off... I did some research online, and found that this product, Cyper WP, contains the active ingredient which works on the black widow spiders CNS & kills them! So, after purchasing this product & using it as instructed: we used 2 scoops Cyper WP/1 gallon water, the black widows were dead & dying within a day, not to mention all other insects that crawled across the spray barrier died. I honestly can say, this product is WAY effective, it WORKS! We have a large home & this tub will last us for quite awhile. The price is great, the service through this site is awesome! I will be a returning customer for sure!! A BIG thank you to Do My Own Pest Control & Cyper WP!

    Works great!

    By Nate on 10/09/2013

    Verified Purchase

This does exactly what it says. We noticed about a year ago we had Brown Recluses in our house and some Black Widows outside (along with many other types). We had Orkin come out and spray inside and out. Orkin had ZERO effect on the spiders!!! So I did some research and read these reviews. The first apply we saw changes already. Yes, this leaves a "white" film where it is sprayed (not permanent). This trail is what the insects walk thru and it gets coated on their body. It then kills them. I have noticed that they will barely make it out of the trail before dying. Most within inches of the floor boards. I re-apply once a month for extra security. I spray inside and outside. It takes two scoops for spiders per one gallon of water. We have two dogs a cat and I have not seen them effected by this. I do put them up while it dries (1 hour-ish). I still have half a tub left after spraying a gallon once a month. (GREAT BUY). I plan on buying this again once I run out.

    Good weapon against stink bugs

    By Jack on 10/06/2010

    Verified Purchase

I purchased Cyper WP specifically to combat a terrible Stink Bug problem. In my case the issue was more one of preventing the bugs from gaining entry to my home through gaps that were impractical to seal. By spraying the product around the exterior window and door frames, I found that it worked as an effective repellent. Although it did kill the bugs as well, it took about a day for most of them to drop. It is not an instant killer which is what I would have enjoyed to have had for those that did get into the house -- nothing I found can make them drop instantly. It is very economical however as it makes a gallon of solution from 1-2 small scoops, and I can't imagine ever running out of a pound. I also found a tank sprayer to be very convenient and effective in reaching second story areas by using the pin spray. It does not smell or stain. I've noticed lots of other insects dying as well around the areas I've sprayed so it appears to work well as the general insecticide, which is what it is. In some areas that got much direct sun or rain, I've had to reapply, but that was no big deal with the sprayer. My main concern was to keep the bugs from getting inside and crawling all over my walls, and after suffering with that problem for years, this product has succeeded in doing that.

    The best I ever used

    By George on 08/03/2006

Starting in 2005 I noticed late evening every night on my patio carpet several black bugs and identified them as Oriental cockroaches. In March of 2006, it became terrible. A friend looked on his computer and found that Niban bait was recommended. He gave me your number. My first conversation was with Michael and he recommended Cyper WP with the Niban. He told me to remember that Niban was a bait and not to use the Cyper WP near the Niban. I used a 3 gallon watering can with 4 scoops of Cyper WP, mixed good, to eliminate the nest which was in a long crack in our side walk, adjacent to our patio. I soaked the entire patio carpet, and the entire perimeter of our house. I put the Niban bait, sparingly, not closer than 25' to our sun room and patio. This type of cockroach loves water. I removed my landscaping bark which was always wet from watering flowers. I have since ordered 4 Cyper WP. It has been a good month and a half with NO black water cockroaches in our sun room. Once in a while I will find one on our patio carpet, on his back dead. The Cyper WP in also good for killing ants. The best I ever used. I have 1/2 acre of land so sometimes its a struggle. Thank you for all of your help.

Bug version of a neuclear bomb

    By Jarret on 04/24/2012

    Verified Purchase

I had a problem with spiders ,crickets, chinch bugs, and ear wigs. particularly in my basement. I used a two gallon sprayer and you are suposed to use four scoops by the instructions, i used six. I sprayed how and where the instructional video said to and followed some of their non-spraying tips. All i can say is WOW! This is the most effective pest controll product I have EVER USED!! There are no bugs what so ever, unless they are doing the ol' death twitch. My house has become the Bates Motel that bugs tell their freinds to stay away from. The only drawback of this product is if you spray it on dark surfaces it drys white, but it wipes off easy enough that its not a big deal. I have had a pro pest controll company spray for the same pests and I didn't have near the good result as with this product. I bought 2 bottles because with the bulk discount it is way cheaper, and with the two i can spray 20 or 30 times with was half of what the "PRO" charged!

Hey bugs, how does that taste?

    By Brian on 09/29/2011

Clearly bugs like the taste of this stuff. Per the directions I did 4 scoops in my 2 gallon sprayer and went to town inside and out. I did not really notice too much of a residue like others have mentioned. I have since found several dead roaches (the big suckers) and one dead scorpion. I have never found a dead scorpion before with any spray I used!! That's powerful stuff. I have found no live bugs since application. My dogs were not interested in it at all, so I would say it seems pet friendly. I debated between this and the more expensive Suspend SC. I am happy I went with this. We were seeing a lot of roaches and a scorpion here and there. They are all gone now. I also like that this is a powder concentrate. I think that is a benefit in AZ. I would worry a liquid concentrate would dry up if the container was not good. I think with the quantities, a container of any bug spray concentrate will be around for a while. Especially if an application lasts 3 months. If you have roaches or scorpions, buy this. I can not speak about other critters, but my guess is this stuff kills them all.

    Cyper WP

    By Carlee on 06/18/2012

    Verified Purchase

I use it for palmetto bugs. I just recently moved into an apartment that is infested out side with them. Im sure it would help if I sprayed in the crawl space. I just dont have the balls to get under there. I actually live in a triplex. I sprayed all around, and around the windows. After spraying twice in less than two months, I have found two palmetto bugs in my apt. That were alive and didnt look it was dying. More than what I like. I have noticed in the area where I have sprayed that nothing comes around. I have palmetto bugs that hang out around a tree in front of my apt, and at night there are tons of them. I just dont want to spray the tree with chemicals, plus my cats usually eat the grass in that area during the day. All in all it works better than what you buy in the store and keeps the palmettos under control. I would by again. I did notice that it didnt kill spiders. I had a small spider on my window on the outside. I closed my window so I could spray around it, and the next day the spider was still there. I use two scoops of it each time I use it.

    works great

    By Highdesert on 06/19/2014

I live in the Mojave desert and bought this recently and specifically for a roach problem. I do not have roaches in cabinets etc and my problem seems to be originating from the outside. I see them occasionally on the driveway and sidewalks and they appear to be crawling in from the outside. The few roaches that do make it inside are dead when I find them. I do also have an exterminator. I do not understand the reviews that say this stuff doesn't work. My procedure is as follows: 1. I place TWO scoops in a dry bug sprayer 2. I use a two gal plastic bucket and fill it under the kitchen sink with the hottest tap water I can get from my kitchen tap and fill it to the ONE GAL mark on the bucket 3. Take the bucket outside and empty the hot water into the sprayer 4. Secure the top on the sprayer and shake well. 5. Continue shaking often as I spray every 2 to 3 minutes. You should have a white milky liquid. Everywhere I spray this stuff I find dead roaches. I am convinced this works and I am also convinced this does a better job than what my exterminator seems to be using. I have not used this inside yet and used this primarily as a barrier around the house and yard and walkways and driveways and hedges. I will say this. I do not see the same results after an exterminator sprays. So far I am pleased with the results I see.
