    Q
Will Eraser kill weeds that are growing through weed barrier cloth?
We recently finished xeriscaping part of our back yard in San Antonio. Once the Bermuda was removed, a cloth weed barrier cloth was laid down, then xeriscape plants, followed by river Rock. Now we have weeds popping up within the xeriscape river Rock. I think most of the weeds are growing up through the barrier cloth. I have spot sprayed the weeds with 2.5 Oz concentration Eraser, but the weeds are still around and seem to be thriving. Will the Eraser Kill these plants if the concentrate can not directly get to the weed roots?
    A

Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide should be applied to contact the target weeds to kill them and it will be absorbed to the roots.  Per the product label: most treated weeds usually show initial symptoms in 2-4 days and complete kill in 1-2 weeks. Hard-to-control weeds may require a second application if not completely dead in 4 weeks.

    Q
Can you spray Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide on Bermuda safely to kill weeds without killing Bermuda grass?
Bermuda is growing and green ,not dormant.
    A

Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide should not be applied to desired turfs etc as it is a non-selective herbcide that will kill anything sprayed directly. Please provide the targeted weeds for a product recommendation that will best fit your needs.

  • Asked by Mike from Leander, Tx

    Q
Will Eraser work to kill Mesquite Trees?
    A

Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide will kill any plant or tree that you spray it on.  It is non-selective, meaning it will affect anything it touches.  If you have a large tree though, then you would have to use a large amount of it directly on the stump or get it in the trunk of the tree by drilling into it for it to die.  Larger trees are not normally affected by overspray or by applying Eraser to other plants or grass nearby.

Can Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide be used in horse pasture and allow them to graze after it dries but before grass is gone?
Need to kill grass in our arena but we were fearful that horses will drop their heads and eat sprayed grass before it is dead.

Unfortunately, when using Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide the animals can be reintroduced to the treated area, but you would need to allow at least 7 days between application and allowing animals to graze in the same area. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

    Q
Will Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide kill crown vetch in my flower beds?
    A

Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide is a non-selective herbicide, so it will kill just about anything it is sprayed on. It will eliminate the crown vetch, but we do recommend being very careful when using this product in your flower beds in order to avoid spraying it on any desirable vegetation.

  • Asked by Dwain from Point, Tx
    04/20/2017
    Q
Will Eraser 41% Weed Killer kill everything it touches?
We are in East Texas with a farm.
    A

Eraser 41% is a non-selective herbicide that will kill existing plants that you spray with it. TVC Total Vegetation Control is a great option for control of weeds for up to a year. It will be applied with a pump sprayer to areas where you are wanting to control grassy and broadleaf weeds. The mixing rate is 0.6 - 6.4 oz per (0.5 - 5%) per gallon of water. It is recommended that you use a surfactant as well to increase the effectiveness of the product.

  • Asked by Denise from Center Ridge, Arkansas

    Q
Can I use Eraser 41% to treat weeds in landscape or flower beds?
I just cleaned out my flower beds which were heavy with weeds as I could not take care of last year as needed. I have now pulled most weeds and want to spray with a weed killer. But I do not want to kill any of my plants in my flower beds/landscape. How close can I spray to each plant without harming them? Which is the best product to use? Thanks
    A

You can use Eraser Herbicide to spot treat weeds around your beds as long as you do not contact any of the desirable plants. Unfortunately, there are no selective herbicides that would kill broadleaf weeds without potentially harming your desirable plants. If there are grassy weeds among your ornamental plants, then you can often use a selective grass killer such as Fertilome Over-the-Top II Grass Killer.

  • Asked by Doug from Covington La

    Q
Will Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide harm water in ditch or stream or lake?
How long after applying 100 percent to cut off oak brush stumps?
    A

Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide is not labeled to be used around aquatic sites (bodies of water) so care should be taken to avoid drift or runoff into these areas to avoid  possible harm. If you do use it on stumps as a brush on treatment it would not seep into the soil with that type of application. However, if it did have soil contact it would have about a 2 weeks residual after an application.
