Yes, Fertilome Weed Free Zone can be applied using a hose end sprayer however these sprayers are not the best method for adequate coverage. It is recommended to use hand pump/backpack sprayers with herbicides to ensure you are able to use sufficient water volume to evenly and thoroughly distribute the active ingredient per the recommended square coverage.
With hose end sprayers, there is no way to regulate the water volume or know if the correct amount of product is covering the square coverage recommended.

Fertilome Weed Free Zone is applied at the rate of 1.5-2 oz. per 1000 sq.ft. in 1-2 gallons of water. The water is merely the carrier to get the chemical evenly distributed over the lawn so whether that takes 1 gallon of water per 1000 sq.ft., or 4 gallons of water per 1000 sq.ft., both are correct so long as you are getting the right amount of weed free zone over that area.
