    Can I use Fusilade to kill torpedo grass in my flower bed?
    A
    Fusilade II is a selective herbicide for application over flowers, bushes and ornamentals that kills grass and grassy weeds including Torpedo Grass in your flower bed and ornamental planting areas.  You should mix a surfactant with it.  It typically takes 2 weeks to see results after application.  Please be sure to read over the product label before application.

    Is Fusilade II safe to spray around Iris's?
    I have Iris beds in my home landscape that are being overrun with grass. Will Fusilade II harm my Iris's?

    Fusilade II is labeled for use around Iris's and when used as directed should not harm them. Please read the Fusilade II product label for complete usage instructions around iris plants.

    Can you mix Fusilade and Tenacity in the same tank?

    We don’t see any reason why Fusilade II Herbicide and Tenacity cannot be mixed in the same tank.  It is recommended to do a jar test first to make sure they will mix well together in the tank.

    How long do I have to wait to let my dogs out after applying Fusilade II Herbicide?

    Pets need to be kept out of the area while Fusilade II is being applied, but can safely return as soon as everything is fully dry.

    Can Fusilade II Herbicide be sprayed on asian jasmine to kill broad leaf and grasses?
    We do not have the jasmine all grown in after 15 months but growing with fertilizer now. We have lots of broad leaf plantain and some other grasses what do we do for a spray that won't kill jasmine.

    Fusilade II Herbicide can be applied to established Asiatic Jasmine to eradicate grassy weeds. Snapshot 2.5 TG would be a good choice for a broad spectrum pre-emergent around Asiatic Jasmine for the broadleaf weeds.

    After applying Fusilade II Herbicide how long do I wait to water lawn?
    Tall fescue and fine fescue lawn .

    You should wait 24 hours after applying Fusilade II Herbicide to water the lawn.  Be aware Fusilade II Herbicide is only labeled to be used on Tall Fescue when treating for bermudagrass only.  It is not labeled to be used on fine fescue.

    Will Fusilade II Herbicide kill perennial Clover?
    If so what can I use to kill grass and weeds and not the clover?

    Fusilade II Herbicide is safe to apply over clover,  ornamentals and certain turf grasses for control of annual and perennial grass weeds. Fusilade II Turf and Ornamental Herbicide does not control broadleaf weeds or sedges (nutgrass).

    We live in Bakersfield, CA and just had a zoysia lawn installed five months ago, but the Bermuda grass has taken over so that now there is more bermuda than zoysia.

    I'm looking for a Bermuda Grass specific hebicide. What do you recoomend?
    My tall fescue lawn has beed taken over by pesty Bermuda Grass. I'm looing for an hebicide that will kill the Bermuda grass and not kill my Fescue at the same time. HELP!

    Fusilade would be a great option for you! It can also be used to remove bermuda grass from tall fescue and zoysia grass when used at reduced rates

    If I apply Fusilade II Herbicide in mid September, when is it safe to overseed with fescue, and when is it safe to apply 2nd application after overseeding?

    It is recommended that you wait at least 14 days after applying Fusilade II Herbicide to overseed/reseed an area. It is recommended that you wait until the reseeded area is established before applying any additional products. This will be after at least three mowings.

    Does Fusilade kill crabgrass?

    Yes, Fusilade II is labeled for post-emergent control of large, smooth, and southern crabgrasses. Be sure to follow the product label directions to be sure it is safe to use in the area where you plan to apply it, and to use a non-ionic surfactant when applying Fusilade II.     Use of Fusilade II Herbicide on St Augustine in controlling Bermuda
    How safe and if OK, which mixture option would apply for st augustine
    A

    Fusilade II can only be used to remove bermuda grass from Tall Fescue and ZoysiaG rass when used at reduced rates but it is not labeled for use on St Augustine grass so we cannot recommend it for this use. We are not aware of a product that is labeled to remove Bermuda grass from St Augustine. 

    Unfortunately Bermuda grass is so closely related to St. Augustine grass that there is nothing that will remove Bermuda from St. Augustine and not hurt the Bermuda as well.  In your situation it is recommended to spot treat the Bermuda with GlyPhoSel Pro and kill it directly, and then replant St. Augustine in those areas.

    Updated Jan 2025:Fusilade is not labeled to be used on St Augustine for bermuda grass control when tank mixed with Recognition Herbicide.  Following these instructions Recognition Herbicide 2(ee) Supplemental Label-St. Augustine

    When applying Fusilade II Herbicide to zoysia to kill bermuda, should I fertilize before or after?

    Fusilade II Herbicide can actually be tank mixed with liquid fertilizers, so you can apply either before or after or at the same time.

    Can Fusilade II and Roundup Custom be mixed in same 50 spray tank?
    If so, do I need to add surfactant? For road side spraying.

    You can mix Fusilade II Herbicide with other herbicides such as RoundUp Custom. You should use a non-ionic surfactant with these herbicides for best results. Be sure that you are following the more restrictive labeling that pertains to your application needs.

    The Fusilade II instruction label does not list St. Augustine grass, so we are not sure of the answer to your question.  We would like you to direct your question to Syngenta, the manufacturer of Fusilade, as they are the true experts on their own product and can better answer your question.  You can reach them at 1-866-SYNGENTA.
