    Heritage G Fungicide

    By Bud on 06/21/2017

I applied a 30# bag of Heritage G to my tall fescue back lawn of about 10K square feet, which, due to abundant shade and limited air circulation, has annual summer fungus issues. After the 1st week I noticed the brown patches turning green again, however by day 21 the brown patches were back, and seemingly with a vengeance. I retreated the back lawn at day 25 with Cleary's 3336 DG as an alternate to the Heritage G (we'll see how this product works out). A week after my initial back lawn treatment, I applied 25# of Heritage G to my tall fescue front lawn of about 8K square feet. As of day 15 the front lawn has recovered nicely. Although the front lawn doesn't typically have the difficult fungus concerns as does the back lawn. Being a first-time user of Heritage G Fungicide, and seeing as it worked generally satisfactorily, my biggest overall concerns would be the price and its effectiveness. Even though shipping is free through DoMyOwn, and the arrival of the product is timely for the most part (there was one minor hiccup on the 2nd bag I ordered around a holiday), I was quoted a much lower price for Heritage G by a local merchant after I had already bought from DoMyOwn. In conclusion, my 3 stars rating is based primarily on the fact that the product didn't match the 28 days window before re-treatment was required, and, the overall cost. Perhaps the Cleary's will do better, &/or I will try a different fungicide alternative next time.

Powerful stuff.... but did it work?

    By Carl on 06/19/2020

We have a continual and recurrant problem with lawn fungus. I had been using the standard Lowes' Spectracide/ fungacide. Decided to up the ante and go for the DoMyOwn lawn care and wipe this fungus out for good. This stuff comes with gloves. You are to wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, and wash afterwards. Sounds ominous. Well, it doesn't work any better than the Lowe's stuff. It didn't work on some areas, despite following the directions explicitly. It also stressed the lawn quite a bit. I would say for my situation, it was a waste of time and effort. But then, fungus can be very tricky. On your lawn it might be exactly what you need.

    Used as Directed

    By Gene on 07/22/2022

Helped reduce, but did not stop spread of fungus in Bermuda lawn. We are experiencing extreme heat and drought which does encourage fungus. No other treatments have stopped it. All worked about the same. This was most expensive.
