A 10 pound bag of Sahara will cover roughly an acre of land. But what if you want to spot treat small areas where weeds are actively growing with just one gallon of solution?
Start by filling a hand pump sprayer halfway with water. Then add 4 ounces of Sahara, or half a cup, to your tank. Put the lid on, agitate the mixture well, then add the remaining water necessary to make a gallon. Now you’re ready to go.
Spray any areas you wish to kill unwanted weeds. Be careful to stay at least 5-10 feet away from the dripline of desirable plants such as trees, flowers and bushes. Also be aware of the area you spray. If you walk through the treated area, you run the risk of tracking the herbicide into areas you do not wish to kill, like your lawn.
