    Q
How long after using Killzall Weed and Grass Killer should I start seeing results?
    A

When using Killzall Weed and Grass Killer, if the weed is actively growing (not just green), is not under cold stress or drought stress or recently mowed you should see results within 1-3 weeks depending on the type of plant. A second application may be needed after 4 weeks for very hard to kill plants (woody stemmed plants or vines).

    Q
Is there a product that will kill coral ardesia and prevent its re-growth?
    A

We apologize, but we do not carry anything that will prevent coral ardesia or other woody plants from growing.  It does appear that either a glyphosate product like Killzall Weed and Grass Killer or something like Crossbow may control it.   There is an article here that may be helpful as well.

    Q
Will Killzall Weed and Grass Killer - 41% Glyphosate kill lily pads in a pond?
    A

You cannot use Killzall Weed and Grass Killer - 41% Glyphosate around any aquatic life or bodies of water. However, we do carry a glyphosate product that is made specifically for use around bodies of water. It is called Rodeo, and you should use a surfactant with it for better results. Rodeo Herbicide will kill Lily Pads. If you are making an application with a sprayer you would use approximately 2 and 2/3 fluid oz of Rodeo per gallon of water or 5 pints of Rodeo per acre. Please refer to the product label for further application instructions.

    Q
Will Killzall Weed and Grass Killer kill Virginia buttonweed?
    A

Virginia buttonweed is hard to treat. Although Killzall Weed and Grass Killer is not specifically labeled to treat it, it does contain glyphosate, and most products containing this ingredient will kill whatever they are applied to. We have found that EndRun works great on Virginia buttonweed when applied per label. Blindside also is labeled to suppress Virginia buttonweed.

    Q
My dogs unfortunately eat the brush I want to treat. Will it harm my dog if he were to eat some of the brush after treating with Killzall Weed and Grass Killer - 41% Glyphosate?
My dog ate a toxic plant in my yard. It caused massive grand mal seizures for several days. They couldn't pinpoint which plant so I would like to kill it all off and replant.
    A

While we cannot tell 100% your dogs won't have a reaction if they eat grasses treated with Killzall Weed and Grass Killer - 41% Glyphosate, we can say that most don't. Since animals may have sensitivities or allergies to any given product there is no 100% guarantee. Please consult with your Vet before doing the application for any possible issues or concerns.

Another option for killing woody brush, vines and trees is doing a stump treatment. Cut the brush down to the stump and apply Killzall Weed and Grass Killer - 41% Glyphosate undiluted directy to the stump. Please review the product label for stump treatment directions.

  • Asked by Randy from Milton Florida

    Q
How long after treating an area with Killzall Weed and Grass Killer - 41% Glyphosate on a softball field can I cover the area with more clay?
Do I need to leave it exposed to the sun or can I cover it with more clay?
    A

Killzall Weed and Grass Killer - 41% Glyphosate is a systemic product that can take about 2 weeks to kill the treated plants. While you do not need sunlight for the product to continue working, it would be difficult to know if any plants needed additional treatments if you covered them before waiting to see the results. (If the treated plants are young, then they will start showing signs of wilting and death more quickly.) It is really up to you whether you cover the plants. We do not recommend removing any treated plant matter until the plants have had time to die completely, though.
