    Q
How much does the pH drop for annual color bed under one application of Miracle Gro Miracid?
I live in Austin Texas. we have a high pH here. I will be adding sulfur to our color beds both spring and fall. I still need to drop it quicker. Will Miracid drop it one whole point of pH or how much per application. I do use a foliar feeding every 2 weeks on all our color beds. A light mixture of Miracle-Gro, Hasta-Gro, and Super Thrive in a four gallon backpack sprayer. Most of our annual color is in the range of 6-7. We use drip and regular irrigation and our water for irrigation is at a 9.5. Could I just use Miracid instead of the Miracle Gro in my foliar feed application?
    A

The manufacturer states that Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food would actually raise the PH. Since your PH is so high they do not recommend using the Miracid.

    Q
What can I use to acidify the soil under maple trees, Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food?
My 4 "Acer -X Fremani Siennaglen" maple trees about 30-40 ft. tall have never had the promised Fall color. I have been told my soil probably needs to be more acid. What's the best way ?
    A

Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food is designed for acid-loving shrubs such as azaleas and hydrangeas. We recommend a pH test or full Soil Kit test if you have not done one in several years. If you do need to lower the pH, then you can use a sulfur product such as Hi-Yield Soil Sulfur for this application.

    Q
Are my hydrangea's ruined or injured if I applied Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food too soon after my last application?
    A

Only time will tell if there is injury from applying Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food too soon.  What happens more is the nutrients are not in the soil still when the plants are actively growing and needing them so you may need to reapply following the instructions on the label.
