As long as they are in completely sealed containers, there should be no issue transporting the containers with Nuvan ProStrips from one area to another, however, it is recommended to leave the NuVan ProStrips undisturbed in the sealed containers for at least 2 weeks. Nuvan ProStrips are a vapor release strips that slowly difuse evenly and thoroughly over 4 months in enclosed areas such as attics, basements, dumpsters, crawl spaces, closets, pantries, sheds, garages, boats, RVs, storage boxes, storage spaces, etc. This is not for use in areas like kitchens, or in large open spaces where people sleep, work or occupy. Only use one strip per 100 to 200 cubic foot of enclosed area.

Nuvan ProStrips are labeled for and meant to be used in enclosed spaces and can last up to 4 months. You can remove the cats from the kennels and use the Outdoor Flea and Tick Kit and let it all dry before letting the cats back to the treated areas. The cats will also need to get periodic treatments with a cat approved product to get the best results.
The Nuvan ProStrips are effective for up to 4 months for Ants, Cockroaches, Bees, Hornets, Wasps and Yellow Jackets, Pantry Pests, Flies, Mosquitoes, and Spiders. These cannot be used in areas where people will spend an extended amount of time. You will need to calculate the cubic feet of the trailer to determine how many strips are needed to be effective. Hang strips so as not to impede air circulation. If multiple strips are needed, space them evenly throughout the space to be treated. One 16 gram strip will treat approximately 100 to 200 cubic feet.

No, Nuvan ProStrips cannot be used in occupied rooms or living spaces inside the home. These strips should be as an additional method to eradicate bed bugs in various items such as electronics, appliances, toys, clocks, wall hangings, printers, picture frames, lamps, etc. Keep items contained and sealed for no less than 48 hours and up to 7 days to kill bed bugs. Take care to avoid direct contact of the strip with the surface of items being treated.
For active bed bugs, a combination of products along will follow up applications are required to effectively eradicate an infestation.
Our Bed Bug Kits would be recommended to treat for active bed bugs. Each kit contains the best combination of products necessary to treat where bed bugs hide and will provide enough product for the initial treatment and 1-2 follow up treatments. Repeat each step explained in our Bed Bug Treatment Guide every 7-10 days until you can 30 days without seeing any signs of bed bugs.
When treatment is completed using Nuvan ProStrips, remove treated items from the treatment in a well ventilated area and air out for a period of not less than two hours. Discard plastic treatment bag or treatment poly sheeting and used pest strip in trash.

Nuvan ProStrips is a product that is labeled to control most species of ants. If applied according to the labeled instructions, this product may be used in a car. You would have to seal up the car and not use it for at least 2 weeks to be able to use the Nuvan ProStrips. They would not be effective if you are constantly opening and closing the doors, and you cannot stay in the car while they are being left inside. Nuvan strips must be kept in an enclosed space for a minimum of 2 weeks in order to be effective. You'll use one strip per 100 to 200 cubic feet of enclosed area. After the car has been closed up with the strips for a minimum of 2 weeks, you'll want to let the car air out for a couple hours before occupying.
The plastic hangers that come with the Nuvan ProStrips are 6 inches tall by 2 inches wide, from hinges to top of hanger loop. The part that holds the strip is 4 inches tall.
Nuvan ProStrips cannot be used in open areas of the home or occupied rooms. Items must remain in a sealed, enclosed area for at least 2 weeks to be effective for bed bugs so any furniture items, pictures, electronics, tables, etc would need to be relocated to an unoccupied room in the home such as a spare bedroom or garage area.
For bed bug treatments to furniture, upholstery, etc, Sterifab would be a better option as a contact-kill surface spray as once it has dried, there is no residual and safe for human contact. Bedlam Plus Aerosol is recommended to treat the tufts and folds along the edges of sofas, couches, chairs, mattresses, box springs, side tables, etc as a contact kill + residual.

Nuvan ProStrips are meant to be used in sealed containers or confined spaces. We would not recommend using the Nuvan ProStrips in a way outside of the product label instructions.
For treating in homes or buildings with exotic birds, we recommend contacting your local Exotic Bird Specialist or Vet for their recommendations.
Nuvan ProStrips is labeled for adult bed bugs and bed bug eggs however will not be effective in kiling eggs/nymphs of the other insects such as ants, roaches, bees, flies, gnats, mosquitoes, spiders, pantry pests, hornets, wasps, spiders, earwigs, silverfish, etc.

We unfortunately are not longer carrying the Nuvan Pro Strips however, Nuvan ProStrips have a mild chemical odor according to the SDS Sheet.
Per the manufacturer, clothing does not need to be washed after being stored in areas with the Nuvan Pro Strips however airing the clothing items our for a few days would help to remove any chemical smell from the treatment.
Another helpful step to elminate bed bugs from clothing, blankets, etc is heat treatments in your dryer on the high heat setting for 45 min to 1 hour. Washing the clothing items is not necessary as it is the high heat that kills bedbugs and their eggs.

Nuvan ProStrips work best in enclosed areas and will not be opened for an extended amount of time ranging from 2 weeks up to 4 months depending on your target insect(s). Airing the storage unit out daily or weekly for several hours a day would NOT be necessary and not advised as this will allow the vapors to escape and slow down the treatment process.
The Nuvan ProStrips should be hung in open spaces to allow airflow to circluate around the strip and kept away from light sources or windows (if applicable). You should use one 16gram strip to treat up to 100-200 cubic feet or one strip per enclosed container. If more than one is required, distribute them within the space equally. Keep the space closed.
Once you’ve allowed enough time for the Nuvan Pro Strips to treat the items in the enclosed area, that is when you will want to ventilate the storage unit for a minimum of 2 hours. The manufacturer does not mandate, recommend or state that items need to be washed before use therefore this would be up to your discretion and prefrences.
Nuvan Pro Strips can be used in cupboards but not in open areas where raw food is stored, prepared or served and do not allow strips to contact cookware, dishes, utenstils per the manufacturer. We do not have any specific information on this restriction or effects therefore we would suggest contacting Amvac directly at at 888-462-6822 for assistance.
Nuvan Pro Strips do not actually provide any type of “residual”. Once the Nuvan Pro Strips foil package is opened, the vapors will start acting quickly on the labeled insects but also begin to degrade rather quickly making this actually a non residual product. It is the slow release of DDVP over time for up to 4 months that provides the “residual” type product.

Nuvan ProStrips will not penetrate through cardboard boxes from the outside. It is best to treat the items enclosed. The strips are intended for small, enclosed spaces and belongings as directed. You do not want to overly pack items in containers that you are using with the product. They will work for up to 4 months. We recommend using mattress/box spring encasements. If not using encasements, there are products for dust mites that can be applied such as Sterifab and NyGuard Plus (folds, tufts, seams only).
Nuvan ProStrips is not labeled for dust mites therefore would not be an effective treatment. For additional information on dust mites, check out our article here.
