Post Emergent Control of Grassy Weeds

Q4 Plus Turf Herbicide for Grassy & Broadleaf Weeds can provide post-emergent control and suppression of the grassy weeds listed. Apply to weeds during the growth stages. Applications under adequate soil moisture conditions are preferred. Early summer treatments are generally more effective. Applications in the summer (approximately July 15 to August 15) to older, drought stressed grassy weeds are less effective. Late summer applications (after August 15) to mature crabgrass can be very effective. Weed control is affected by the spray volume, timing and the weed growth stages.

Post Emergent Control of Broadleaf Weeds

Apply this product to broadleaf weeds that are young and actively growing for the best results. Spring and fall treatments under adequate soil moisture conditions are preferred to the summer treatments. Generally, summer broadcast applications to older, drought stressed weeds are less effective. Fall applications provide improved control for emerged winter annuals and perennials such as henbit, chickweed, clover and ground ivy.

SPOT TREATMENTS:

  • Calibration and proper application are essential when using Q4 Plus Turf. Spray coverage should be uniform and complete.
  • Over applications can result in turfgrass injury.
  • Cool-Season Turf: 2.6 to 3.0 fl. oz. with 1 gallon of water for treatment of approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of turfgrass. Apply to weeds during the growth stages.
  • Warm-Season: 1.84 to 2.57 fl. oz. with 1 gallon of water for treatment of approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of turfgrass. Apply to weeds during the growth stages.
  • See specific Bermudagrass and zoysiagrass on label.

    Great product

    By Edward on 05/04/2013

This worked great to kill all the weeds and crabgrass in my 1 acre yard. I used late August of 2012. Used ratio as recommended on label in a 15 gallon tow behind sprayer. I had a little left, so I watered down maybe 1 gallon of the mixture to fill my 15 gallon tank, and it still killed alot of the crabgrass in my neighbors yard. Would buy again.

It Works when other stuff failed

    By Anonymous on 08/08/2013

I would agree with some of the other comments-there is some investment up front-but it's cheaper than hiring someone and it works. I tried other stuff from Lowes and Home Depot with no luck. Used it in hot weather but had little damage to my Bermuda grass. It killed some pretty large patches of crab grass and other weeds. Pay attention to the proper mix. Would buy again

    Great Stuff

    By Anonymous on 06/09/2013

Kind of pricey, but you get what you pay for. Works great on getting rid of weeds, but don't get this stuff close to your flowers or they will be gone as well. I highly recommend this product.

    Worked Great

    By Anonymous on 07/21/2013

    Verified Purchase

Q4 worked great for the broadleaf weeds and blanket crabgrass in my bermuda lawn. Didn't damage the bermuda much, even though I sprayed when the temps were hot. It didn't work well on the large-leaf crabgrass, but it completly killed the low-growing blanket crabgrass.
