Image Kills Crabgrass is a selective post-emergent herbicide. It kills crabgrass, chickweed, plantain, clover, and other labeled weeds and sedges by stunting the development of germination. It works quickly and will last all season long. The packets are easy to use and will get rid of tough, grassy weeds. Just dilute 1 packet in 1 gallon of water and apply using a sprayer. One packet will cover 500 square feet. For best results, use Image Kills Crabgrass on young weeds that are actively growing, and when no rainfall is expected within 24 hours of application. For newly seeded grass, application can be made after the second mowing.
For use in California: Biotypes of large and smooth crabgrass in California have shown varied response to this product. If control failure occurs following a full or split application, DO NOT reapply this product. Change to a herbicide with a different mode of action.

I decided to spray a square in the yard to see if the product really works. boy oh boy when I tell you that this stuff really works great. I am going to hold off so that I don't end up with a yard full of dead looking grass. weeds had completely taken over but not once this stuff was put down. I started seeing results in about 3 days.

The package indicates that it works to kill clover, which is the main reason I purchased it. I followed the directions letter by letter and my clover is doing just fine, unfortunately. I did spray it on some unwanted weed grasses as well, and it did start to kill them out. If using for clover, find another product.

I need a cost-effective way to kill Dallisgrass in Bermuda.
Image Kills Crabgrass 3 Pack is labeled to control Dallisgrass, but this product has been discontinued by the manufacturer. There are several products that will suppress Dallisgrass. When an herbicide lists that it will "suppress" a weed rather than "control" it, it just means that the research provided from testing did not kill a high enough percentage of the weed in one application to receive a "control" approval, which is usually higher than at least 80 percent. So usually it means you need multiple applications and/or other cultural or chemical treatments to completely eradicate the weed. Dallisgrass is a weed that is notoriously difficult to eradicate quickly once it is established. The best option, once it has emerged, is to either spot spray with something like Round Up Quick Pro and re-seed.

I notice most crabgrass herbicides say that adding a surfactant will make their product more effective.
Image Kills Crabgrass 3 Pack does not contain surfactant and per label states not to apply with surfactants.

When using Image Kills Crabgrass we recommend mowing 2 days before or 2 days after application. However, if you have a newly seeded lawn, application should be made after the secod mowing per product label.

Does this product show any activity on goosegrass? Can I use this on a lawn with a mixture of sodded (yet very sparse) bermuda and fescue?
