The SePRO Akari 5SC Miticide Insecticide provides excellent control of spider mites on greenhouse ornamental floral and foliage. It offers fast knockdown against all developmental stages of mites, with main activity on larvae, nymphs and adults. Prior to knockdown and death, mites treated with Akari become paralyzed on the leaf or while spinning down from the plant using their webbing. This property provides stop-feeding activity which is a big advantage for minimizing crop damage. Other than that, paralyzing action also prevents egg-laying. A good evaluation of performance can generally be made 4 to 7 days after treatment. Akari 5SC is relatively gentle to natural enemies and beneficial insects. When applied at labeled rates, the product provides 21 to 28 days of residual control. Akari 5SC should be used only in a rotational miticides program and not in successive applications in the same greenhouse. Akari 2SC is not registered for use in all states. Akari 5SC Indoor Greenhouse and Outdoor Use on Ornamental Crops
Akari 5SC is a contact miticide and insecticide used for the control of spider mites and other mite pests in greenhouse cucumbers and tomatoes, all ornamental crops including flowering and foliage crops, nursery crops, nonbearing fruit trees and vines, and Christmas trees. This should be used in a program with other products to provide season long protection. Miticides must be rotated with alternate products for resistance management. Do not use products with the same mode of action (METI-2 inhibitor/IRAC Group 21A) in consecutive applications. Apply as a spray using sufficient water volume to obtain thorough coverage of plants. Under severe mite conditions, use the maximum rates and the shorter spray interval as specified on the label. Dense foliage or excessive growth will often prevent adequate coverage; adjust spray volumes accordingly.

SePRO Akari 5SC Miticide Insecticide is not labeled for russet mites but is labeled for broad mites.

The label instructions are for 100 gallons.
Unfortunately, the product label for SePRO Akari 5SC Miticide Insecticide does not provide the application rate in 1 gallon of water, only 100 gallons. To figure out the 1 gallon rate you can divide the rate for what you are treating for by 100. For example: The rate for spider mites is 16-24 oz. per 100 gallons of water. You would divide 16-24 oz. by 100, which is 0.16-0.24, so the rate would be 0.16-0.24 oz. per 1 gallon of water.
