FAQs:

What is Dr. Iron Liquid?
Dr. Iron is a liquid plant food containing 15% nitrogen (15-0-0), 6% iron, and 3.5% sulfur. It is applied as a foliar spray or a soil drench.

Where can I use Dr. Iron Liquid?
Use as a foliar spray on turf. On shrubs, plants and trees, it can be used as a foliar spray or soil drench. Dr. Iron is absorbed through the leaves and roots.

Why use Dr. Iron Liquid?
It is an excellent source of iron for quick green-up in winter and summer months on lawns, as well as a good nitrogen source. Use it on ornamentals to correct for iron deficiency. It contains no phosphorous (P) so it can be used on turf in states that regulate the use of that nutrient. It should be used as a supplement to your regular fertilizer program.

What rate do I use?
On turf, use 6 oz per 1000 sq ft. It can be used up to 5 times during the growing season. The 6 ozs can be applied in ½-4 gallons of water per 1000 sq ft. On flowers, use 2 tsp per gallon of water as a soil drench. On trees and shrubs, use 2 1/2-4 Tbsp per gallon of water as a drench.

Is there anything else I should know about using Dr. Iron Liquid on turf?
Don’t mow for 2-3 days before or after application. Watering can be done at any time after application since it goes through both the roots and leaves. All turf species can be treated.

What is the best rate and method of application for trees and shrubs?
A soil drench is the best method. Apply ½-4 gallons of the desired mixture per tree or shrub.

What precautions should I take?
Shake container well before using. Do not mix with aluminum based fungicides (Agri-Fos/Alliette). Store above 50° F. If applied over concrete or other material, wash off immediately to prevent staining since this is not a non-staining formulation like our other Dr. Iron products.

How is Dr. Iron Liquid packaged?
It comes in a 1 quart concentrate to be measured and mixed with water, or a 32 oz RTS (Ready-To-Spray) which attaches to a garden hose.
