Pennington 1 Step Dense Shade Mulch that combines grass seed, fertilizer and mulch. Formulated with Penkote technology to guarantee plant growth and grow in shaded areas, the product repairs bare spots with disease-resistant grass within two weeks or less.  With Pennington One Step Complete Dense Shade, you get premium cool-season Smart Seed grass varieties selected to thrive with as little as two to four hours of daily sun. Just remove any debris, rake the soil to loosen, and smooth the top layer. Then, spread the seeding mix approximately 1 cup/sq.ft. where grass is desired, and beautiful, thick grass will start to grow in 7-14 days. Water the soil daily until the grass sprouts and reaches 3 inches tall. The mulch turns darker when enough water is applied to the grass. Once it dries, it turns back to a lighter color, indicating the grass' need for water again. For repairing damaged grass: Spread the seeding mix approximately 1 cup/15 sq.ft. everywhere healthy beautiful grass is desired. Comes in 5 lbs and 8.33 lbs sizes.
