Product Overview

Wilt-Pruf Concentrate protects plants against moisture loss all year round.  This all-natural, organic product contains a pine oil emulsion that is biodegradable and non-hazardous.  It is applied to plant foliage to reduce transpiration of moisture.  When plants are exposed to extremely drying conditions such as drought in the summer or frozen roots in the winter, Wilt-Pruf gives them the additional help they need in order to survive during these severe periods of water stress. It can also be used to dip bulbs and tubers in preparation for storage, and to extend the life of Christmas wreaths and trees.  Perfect for use on boxwoods, laurels, rhododendrons, azaleas, hollies, and other listed ornamentals.  Wilt-Pruf dries clear and forms a flexible, protective coating that will not interfere with plant growth, osmosis, respiration, or photosynthesis.

Details

How to Use Wilt-Pruf Concentrate:

  1. Spray Wilt-Pruf as long as the spray does not freeze on the foliage while spraying. Allow two or three hours for drying time in daylight (not necessarily sunlight). Wilt-Pruf is a film forming polymer and needs ultraviolet daylight rays in order for the spray to set up or polymerize.
  2. Shake or stir the concentrate container thoroughly before pouring Wilt-Pruf into water.
  3. Wilt-Pruf concentrate MUST be added to water … not water to Wilt-Pruf. Make sure you have a container to pour the water into first.
  4. Mix it well!  An electric drill with a mixer attachment can be used to thoroughly stir a container.
  5. Once mixed, Wilt-Pruf may be sprayed with any pressure type pump or power sprayer. The more pressure, the better the spray pattern!  Wilt-Pruf cannot be applied with a hose-end sprayer.

Cleaning:

After use, immediately clean spraying equipment with hot water and liquid dish soap and rinse well. Should you mistakenly spray a surface, immediately clean with hot water and liquid dish soap, or use kerosine. Then rinse well.  If it doesn’t come off right away, it will wear off with time, as it does on the plants.
