Mode of Action

Quinclorac is a synthetic auxin herbicide. This type of herbicide disrupts plant growth by interfering with protein synthesis and hormone balance. Scientist remain believe synthetic auxins have several sites of action but remain unclear on the exact mode of action.
 

Quinclorac Uses

Quinclorac is labeled for use in residential and commercial areas, including industrial turfgrasses, sod farms, sports fields, parks and golf courses.
 

Toxicity

Quinclorac is labeled by the EPA as "slightly toxic", a potential ground water contaminant, and highly toxic to fish.
