I'm still in shock! Really never thought this stuff was going to work, but wow! It did! The nutgrass turned yellow and is dying. This stuff is definitely worth the money. Thanks again.

So far the Sedge Hammer seems to be actually killing the nut grass. There are some areas we've had to do a second application. That still makes it a great product in my opinion. I'm only giving it four stars for now. I want to see if it is permanent before it gets that five star rating. We'll see what next spring brings. It is expensive but I learned a long time ago that you get what you pay for. My time spent digging the nut sedge has been worth the price of the SedgeHammer!

I used this stuff on the patches that appeared in my lawn this summer and the Nut Sedge is dead or dying. It took approximately 6 to 8 days to see the effects, the first being the stuff just quit growing and then it began to discolor. Expensive but effective and be aware it doesn't go far, be selective in where you spray and target as many individual plants as you can to get the maximum use rather than just broadcast spraying.

I had huge patches of nutgrass/nutsedge and it was advancing, taking over much of my lawn. Even though I had some issues with my sprayer and questioned if the product was applied evenly, it worked great. About a week after applying the product the nutgrass turned brown and stopped growing. Now about two weeks since the application I no longer have any green nutgrass. This product does what it says.

OUTSTANDING STUFF. It really works. I have tried everything short of digging up my lawn down through a foot of earth putting it into a steel container and dumping it at sea. No landscaper was able to stop or prevent the growth of this horrible weed called nutsedge. In fact, this weed was being spread from home to home by the landscapers. So I discontinued the service and cut my own lawn. I used this product and before I knew it, the weed turned brown and was gone in about 3 weeks. A second application may be necessary in about six weeks so I would recomend two packages. Also important to know it does not hurt the grass. I just love this stuff.

SedgeHammer is a product I have used before...with very good results. I use it because it works! At DMOPC I was able to purchase the product for a savings of $2.50...shipped to my door. Locally I would have to travel about 10 miles each way...and pay more.

My first application didn't work too well, as I mowed first. I called your company to ask if it would be ok and was told it would be no problem. AFTER I mowed, I read the directions! Should have read them first. I do know better! With my second application, all my nutsedge is gone. Great product. Hopefully, I won't need to order it again, BUT I won't hesitate to do so, if necessary.

Sedgehammer really works!! Commercial "landscape" companies in our neighborhood spread nutsedge with dirty equipment. Wind does the rest. DoMyOwnPestControl annually does a great job of getting the product to me.

Its doing the job. It's slow but seems effective, the sedge is dying out. The first week after application the growth stopped, then it took 2 plus weeks to start to die out. Used the package according to directions, and had about 24 hours before the rain came. The sedge I applied the herbicide to was mid season growth and established. I'm happy with the results and have ordered more to finish the job. I will hit any remainders next year. As for the negative reviews, I'm wondering if the sedge was miss identified.

We applied Sedgehammer Herbicide to a large area of nut grass 2 weeks ago. It has begun to turn yellow and appears to be dying but is too early to tell. May require a second application.

I put the herbicide Sedgehammer on about a week ago, and the nut sedge grass is now yellowing and appears to be on its last legs. Hooray

My lawn was infested with nuts sedge weed. It spread everywhere. The herbicide yellows weed after 3/4 days and then it slowly died. I have extra in case a re-application is required later this season or next year.

Had Lawn Dawg doing my lawn for 3 years. It got worse as time went on. Paid extra for crabgrass and Nutsedge control. Wasted my money. Found this site on the web and figured I couldn't do much worse than the "pros". I was right. This product is "so easy a caveman could do it". First application went well but still needed another. After the second my lawn looks great. Now to tackle the crabgrass.

This is a very effective product. And like the product informationstates, does not harm the existing grass--only the nutsedge. Since purchasing and using SedgeHammer, I have recommended it countless times to my neighbors.

Had a problem with sedge in my lawn for 15 years. I used SedgeHammer and it was all gone in a month! I was introduced to the product by my neighbor who had the same problem. One note though; Weather permitting, apply the product about 2 to 3 days after you cut your lawn. The sedge is always higher than the regular grass and it allows you to zero in on the problem areas. This also gives the product 4 to 5 days to be absorbed before you once again cut your lawn (if you're on a weekly schedule like me). Within 2 weeks the sedge was yellowing and within a month it was gone. Great product!

I have a small bed that was just re-landscaped with liriope and a large crape myrtle. The area had sod with nutsedge prior. We thought that after digging up old sod and soil the nutsedge would be gone....no such luck. A friend of mine who's a landscape architect recommended Sedgehammer, and it works great! I spot sprayed the first time, as the shrubs were newly planted (aout 2 weeks prior), and you can see the visibly dead nutsedge. I am going to spray a second application more broadly this time, and that should do the trick! Now if anyone has any suggestion for killing my #@%# neighbors invasive bamboo-other than nepalm, I would greatly appreciate it!

I have a small lawn, but take great pride in the way it looks. Had a problem with sedge and ordered sedgehammer. One treatment and it is all gone. One small packet, one light treatment and it's done. nothing else has ever worked..

About 1/3 of my front law was invested with nut sedge. I used 2 packets to fully cover all the areas. Although results (dead grass) didn't start appearing until closer to 14 days; it immediately stopped the fast growing spiky/shinny new grass from appearing. The directions on the outside of the package were confusing, i.e., "rainfast within 4 hours", but the insert explained to NOT WATER for at least 4 hours.

It took about 10 to 12 days to fully work, but it is the only thing I have found that kills Nuts Edge grass. An easy product to use and very effective.

SedgeHammer is basically the same product used by farmers in rice fields in my area but unavailable for home use. This was at a great price and the customer service was the best I have experienced in online ordering. This is a slow kill and it may take more than one application but it will get rid of Nutsedge when nothing else I've tried worked.

After years of applying products that supposedly would kill nut grass, as we call it, I am very pleased to note that after just one application of SedgeHammer, my rather impressive collection of the offending nut grass is very ill. So ill, in fact that I do believe it is on suicide watch! But just to be certain, I'm going to apply a second dose. I have every expectation this will be the end of the current crop. If, however, a new generation sprouts up in the Spring, I will have no hesitation whatsoever in ordering SedgeHammer again. It's really wonderful to finally find a product that works, and doesn't require a bank loan to purchase, as some of the competition does. Well DONE!! If you are hesitant about ordering SedgeHammer, it's nice that these folks offer an affordable one-time dose, which makes one gallon. In my case, this is enough product for two applications. I can't recommend this product too highly.

Before I purchased SedgeHammer, the lawn service I contract with treated my lawn two times and didn't eliminate the nut sedge. After buying your product it eliminated the nut sedge in one application which I applied. This is a superior product at a reasonable price.

Used Sedgehammer twice about 3 months apart on purple sedge. The sedge took about 2 weeks to completely die off. I seemed very effective at removing the sedge but after a couple months all new sedge grows back (-2 stars). Maybe this is just the nature of trying to eradicate a sedge infestation.

I have used SedgeHammer for two years now, on St Augustine in Tampa Bay.. It worked great every time I used.(spot treatment only). No damage to the St Augustine grass.

If you need to get rid of nut Sledge then get your Sledgehammer from domyonpestcontrol.com not only will it get rid of the nut sledge, but will kill other weeds. And if you want super fast service then order from these guys.

After battling nut sedge for 3 yrs and having our lawn care company spray it last yr - which not only resulted in killing our "good" turf, the nut sedge returned & it cost us almost $100 - for a $10 investment, SedgeHammer has completely eliminated the nut sedge without damaging our good turf !! Great product ! Ironically, it was our lawn care guy that recommended SedgeHammer !

Sedge Hammer killed my nut sedge in Oklahoma with one treatment. It did not yellow the bermuda grass at all.
