According to our Rep with Dow Agro, the only difference in the Snapshot 2.5 TG Herbicide and Snapshot 2.5 DG is the package size and coloring of the granule The DG formulation does use also use the Andersons patented DG Lite formulation, which features a dispersible granule for improved, uniform coverage.
The application and active ingredients are both the same. The Snapshot 2.5 DG has now been discontinued but the 2 different coloring of the granules was due to to some Turf Pros not wanting a yellow granule and prefer the brown granule but neither should stain.
Snapshot 2.5 TG will not prevent tolerable species from growing only prevents weed germination in these areas if applied at the correct timing and rate as directed.

Snapshot 2.5 TG - 50 lbs. can be used twice a year with the max rate of 600 pounds per acre per year. Any time you over apply a product there is always a chance that you might cause some damage. Also make sure granules are going closer to the ground and not on the leaves of the plant.
