According to our Rep with Dow Agro, there is not any difference besides the package size and the coloring of the granule. The SnapShot 2.5 TG is a yellow color granule and comes in a 50lb bag. The Snapshot 2.5 DG is a brown color and comes in a 25lb bag. The application and active ingredients are both the same. They make the 2 different types due to some Turf Pros not wanting a yellow granule and prefer the brown granule

Per the product label Snapshot DG Herbicide should be applied to bedding plants or areas where bedding plants will be planted or transplanted within one year following application.
Snapshot DG Herbicide can be applied after weeds are pulled but before the mulch is laid so it gets down in the soil to create the barrier. Be sure to water in after application as directed on the product label. If you apply after laying down mulch you would need to heavily water the area to get it down to the soil below the mulch.
The only way to control the oxalis is to either hand pick it out or spot spray with a round up type product like Roundup, being very careful to avoid any contact with desirable plants.
Using a pre-emergent to help prevent it coming up would be helpful as well. Snapshot is a good option for ornamental areas

Snapshot DG Herbicide is labeled for use around a variety of bamboo Nandina species. The label does not list Bird of Paradise or Strelitzia as a tested plant, so we recommend either avoiding using this around them or testing around a few plants before treating around all of them.
The Snapshot DG Herbicide has a specific section of the Product Label that goes over use around Ornamental bulb plants. The area you are referring to is higher up on the label referencing ornamental plantings in general, but not bulbs specifically.
Ornamental Bulbs
Do not use Snapshot DG in bulb production fields. For use in landscape settings only. Snapshot DG may be applied for control of susceptible annual weeds in ornamental bulbs, e.g., bulbous iris, daffodil (narcissus), hyacinth and tulip. Apply Snapshot DG to the soil surface 2 to 4 weeks after planting, but prior to the emergence of annual weeds. Snapshot DG may also be applied following bulb emergence but prior to flowering and after flowering. For fall planted bulbs, apply Snapshot DG again in late winter or early spring to weed-free soil surfaces.
Special Use Precautions: Do not apply to tulip plants that have emerged to a height greater than 3/4 inch. Do not apply to gladiolus prior to emergence or if corms are less than one inch in diameter. Do not apply to bulbs while they are flowering.
The shelf life for Snapshot DG Herbicide is about 3-5 years as long as it is stored in a cool, dry place. The 25 lb bag is the smallest size of this product. If you would like to provide more information about the target weeds and desirable plants in the area, then we may be able to suggest a different product that comes in a smaller size.
