    Q
What is the difference between Snapshot 2.5TG and Snapshot DG?
What is the difference between snapshot 2.5TG n snapshot DG other than bag size?Does one last longer force red control than the other?thx.
    A

According to our Rep with Dow Agro, there is not any difference besides the package size and the coloring of the granule. The SnapShot 2.5 TG is a yellow color granule and comes in a 50lb bag. The Snapshot 2.5 DG is a brown color and comes in a 25lb bag. The application and active ingredients are both the same. They make the 2 different types due to some Turf Pros not wanting a yellow granule and prefer the brown granule

    Q
Will Snapshot work in my juniper beds that I'm weeding out?
Many acorns sprout from the oak trees in my yard. I find that Snapshot works very good in my yard without killing the grass. But most weed killers kill my juniper. I want to try Snapshot on it but am concerned it, too, will kill my juniper.
    A

Snapshot DG Herbicide  is safe to apply around listed juniper varieties for weeds. It should not be applied to lawns and other areas with desired turfgrass.

    Q
Do you spread Snapshot DG Herbicide after the weeds were pulled and mulch is applied sprinkle over mulch?
    A

Snapshot DG Herbicide can be applied after weeds are pulled but before the mulch is laid so it gets down in the soil to create the barrier.  Be sure to water in after application as directed on the product label.  If you apply after laying down mulch you would need to heavily water the area to get it down to the soil below the mulch.

  • Asked by Doris from Bainbridge Ga

    Q
How to get rid of oxalis?
Please advise how I can kill oxalis without harming surrounding plants.
    A

The only way to control the oxalis is to either hand pick it out or spot spray with a round up type product like Roundup, being very careful to avoid any contact with desirable plants.

Using a pre-emergent to help prevent it coming up would be helpful as well.  Snapshot is a good option for ornamental areas

We apologize that we couldn't provide you with a better solution.

  • Asked by James from Nj
    03/22/2021
    Q
I am a little confused about bulbs and the "wait 1 year to plant" instructions with Snapshot DG Herbicide
I am planning on applying Snapshot to the flowerbed in the front of my home where I do a mass landscape planting of hybrid petunias every year. In fall I like to pull up the petunias and plant a few hundred tulip bulbs. This would obviously be far less than 12 months. Would the residual Snapshot in the soil harm the fall planted bulbs?
    A

The Snapshot DG Herbicide has a specific section of the Product Label that goes over use around Ornamental bulb plants. The area you are referring to is higher up on the label referencing ornamental plantings in general, but not bulbs specifically.
    Ornamental Bulbs
Do not use Snapshot DG in bulb production fields. For use in landscape settings only. Snapshot DG may be applied for control of susceptible annual weeds in ornamental bulbs, e.g., bulbous iris, daffodil (narcissus), hyacinth and tulip. Apply Snapshot DG to the soil surface 2 to 4 weeks after planting, but prior to the emergence of annual weeds. Snapshot DG may also be applied following bulb emergence but prior to flowering and after flowering. For fall planted bulbs, apply Snapshot DG again in late winter or early spring to weed-free soil surfaces.
Special Use Precautions: Do not apply to tulip plants that have emerged to a height greater than 3/4 inch. Do not apply to gladiolus prior to emergence or if corms are less than one inch in diameter. Do not apply to bulbs while they are flowering.

    Q
What is the shelf life of Snapshot DG Herbicide?
I only have about 1300 sq ft of natural area. I want to make sure a 25lb bag would stay effective that long if it stays dry. Or do you offer a smaller bag size?
    A

The shelf life for Snapshot DG Herbicide is about 3-5 years as long as it is stored in a cool, dry place. The 25 lb bag is the smallest size of this product. If you would like to provide more information about the target weeds and desirable plants in the area, then we may be able to suggest a different product that comes in a smaller size.
