Unfortunately there is not a product on the market that is labeled or recommended for hookworms. While some insecticides that are labeled for turf or lawn infesting insect may work, there has not been enough research to add hookworms to the product labels. We recommend that all animals be kept out of the contaminated area for at least 1 year (during warm spring/summer months, longer during cool winter/fall months) and all feces be removed. Keeping the animals out of the contaminated area for at least 1 year should help control the infestation pattern. It is also important to remove feces from the new latrine area to avoid another infestation. Another option is to remove the contaminated soil and replace if you cannot keep out for 1 year
You can dispose of mixed Tempo SC Ultra solution by pouring it out along the foundation of your home or other structure.
When using Tempo SC Ultra for bed bug control you would use 8 mL per gallon of water. Tempo SC Ultra can be re-applied every 7-10 days.
The indoor residual for Tempo SC Ultra is approximately 90 days and the outdoor residual is approximately 30 days. Even if it has been applied in areas that are undistrurbed, the residual won't last any longer.
We recommend that you mow your lawn 1-2 days prior to applying the Tempo SC Ultra for mosquito control. You will also want to focus on applying the product to the undersides of non-edible tree leaves and shrubs. You can apply also around window and door frames, the siding and cracks and crevices for control. You will mix 8-16 ml per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft. It does have an outdoor residual of 4 weeks.
Tempo SC Ultra and Talstar P are both synthetic pyrethroid insecticides that work very similarly, so there really is no reason to mix these two products together at the same time. You could use them in rotation with each other to prevent insect resistance, but we would not recommend using them at the same time. Using these together could actually create a repellent effect and cause insects to avoid the treated areas instead of contacting the active ingredient.
The amount of active ingredient in diluted Tempo SC Ultra that is left behind on grass should pose no threat to your dog even if he eats a bit of the grass Just be sure that everything is completely dry before letting the dog back into the treated area.
It is safe for animals, such as horses, to return to an area treated with Tempo SC Ultra after the product has dried completely. This is generally between 2-3 hours.
For best results, Tempo SC Ultra should be stored at or near room temperature. If it became frozen for any length of time, we recommend that you purchase another bottle.
The exact time it takes Tempo SC Ultra to kill will depend on several factors, such as the age and health of the roach and how long it spent in contact with a treated surface. It is often helpful to use a roach bait gelalong with an insect growth regulator (IGR) in addition to an insecticide when treating for roaches for complete control.
