    Will using Tempo SC on the foundation of my home monthly stop subterranean termites?
    A

    Termites are not a surface dwelling insect, so applying insecticide sprays, such as Tempo SC Ultra to the foundation will not be a work.  We have a step by step guide that will walk you through how to do your own termite trenching treatment.     Can Tempo SC Ultra be used to kill mice?

    No, Tempo SC Ultra is an insecticide and cannot be used to kill mice.  You can find all of our mouse control products here.

    Will Tempo SC Ultra control genista caterpillars on mountain laurel?

    Yes, you could use Tempo SC Ultra to treat caterpillars on mountain laurels, just be sure to get thorough coverage of all sides of the leaves. Control will be most successful when larvae are young. You can also use products containing Bt or Spinosad to target caterpillars.     Can Tempo SC be tank mixed with 2-4,D products?
    A

    While you can potentially mix an insecticide such as Tempo SC Ultra with an herbicide like 2,4-D, be sure that you are needing to apply these products in the same areas before mixing and spraying. We always recommend you do a small jar test for compatability when mixing products for the first time before you mix a full tank.

    Can you apply Tempo SC Ultra to lawn areas with a backpack mister such as a Stihl sr420 or a solo 444?
    A
    No. The Tempo SC Ultra product label does not have any directions in regards to using the product in a mister/blower application. We recommend using Tempo SC Ultra in a regular pump sprayer.

    Why do I have to throw my food away after spraying it with Tempo SC bug spray?
    A
    Tempo is not labeled to be sprayed on any type of edible vegetation. Consuming foods sprayed with the product could cause serious harm to you and others that eat it. You always want to follow the labels strictly for the safety of you and others, and only use  approved products for edible vegetation to avoid any health dangers. Anything edible sprayed accidentally or purposefully with the Tempo SC Ultra or other similarly labled product should be disposed of promptly.

    Is Tempo effective on spruce bud worm in pine trees?
    A
    Tempo Sc Ultra is labeled for bud worms and should do a great job for you when used as directed. We do recommend testing the product on one small area of the tree before broadcasting on the entire tree because spruce are known to loose their color very easily from insecticide applications.

    If I am useing all most 6 gal backpack sprayer using Temo Sc should I use 4,6,8 Ml
    I have a learning problem back in High School I took a class and I got my priv apple Lic from the State Of Texas I would please like some help with the math? I will be spraying for roach's and gen pest inside a building as well.

    Normally, you want to mix 8 ml-16 ml of Tempo concentrate into one (1) gallon of water. So you want to mix approx. 48 ML or 1 1/2 oz Tempo SC Ultra into 6 gallons water.

    When do I spray Tempo?
    I live on the North Carolina/ Virginia boarder. Tempo worked great last year but now that it is spring, when should I apply ? My main problem is 1'000s of grasshoppers once they hatch. Do I spray now or wait until they hatch. we are new to the area and I just remember mowing the lawn last year while 1'000s of bug flew up from the lawn. Also, what would be a good general weed spray for my lawn ? I have a tractor and a 25 gallon pull behind sprayer. Thank you !

    You should start spraying before the egg hatch. To find the correct timing in your region you should contact your local cooperative extension office as the timing varies from region to region. Cooperative extension locator: http://npic.orst.edu/pest/countyext.htm

    When applying Gentrol according to label instructions, Tempo SC Ultra should not pose a threat to your birds. Please contact Bayer 800-331-2867 to ensure their product most certainly will not pose a threat.

    Can Tempo SC Ultra be used on the carpet of the bedroom where bedbugs were localized?
    We sprayed our bedroom with Tempo to get rid of bedbugs but we were wondering if we can use it on the carpet and if we can, spread evenly on carpet or certain spots?

    Tempo SC Ultra is not labeled to be used as a broadcast on interior surfaces and should only be applied to cracks and crevices around the room as directed on the product label.  Bed bugs prefer tight dark places such as these vs open areas so treatment should be directed there.  We have a great article here that can further explain the bed bug treatment process.

    What are the mixing ratios for Tempo SC Ultra and NyGuard IGR to kill fleas indoors?
    This product came highly recommended and from reading some of the other Q&A's I know I need to add a IGR. My question is what ratio of Tempo SC Ultra and Nyguard IGR do I use? I also just want to triple check that I can mix them both together.

    When mixing Tempo SC Ultra you may use anywhere from 8-16 milliliters per gallon of water and when mixing Nyguard IGR you use 3 to 8 milliliters per gallon of water to treat 1000 square feet.  Yes, these two products can be mixed together and applied at the same time.

    Does Tempo SC Ultra work on spider eggs?
    I understand that it will kill the spiders already there, but the eggs are our problem because I vacuum up all the spiders and in a few days the house is full again!
    A
    There are no insecticides that will kill spider eggs. Spiders eggs are in a protected shell (much like a chicken egg) and will remain unaffected by insecticides. That being said, as spiders hatch they will walk through the residual and be killed by the Tempo SC. Be sure you are spraying all of your window and door frames, baseboards and also around the exterior of your home to stop new spiders from moving in and also to kill other insects that spiders can prey on. By helping to remove the food source you will also be removing the spiders motivation from moving in to your home.

    Can Tempo SC Ultra be used on an entryway carpet?
    How should I remove the product since this was an improper procedure?

    Tempo SC Ultra is not labeled to be used as a broadcast on indoor carpet or any other flooring. It is labeled for crack and crevice use only. If the product has been used in a non-labeled area such as carpet, we would recommend that you clean the carpeted area with a carpet cleaner to get the product completely out of the fibers.
