    Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra keep ticks out of the house?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is not a true "repellent," so it will not keep insects such as ticks away.  The only way to do this would be to seal up all cracks and crevices that allow them access inside.  Tempo can be used as a barrier spray to help kill ticks that come into contact with treated surfaces.  Please take a few moments to review our article on How to Get Rid of Ticks for more detailed information on how to implement a successful control program for this pest.

    Q
Can I spray Tempo SC on my lemon tree?
    Something is eating the leaves.
    A

Tempo SC Ultra should NOT be applied to the lemon tree or any other edible vegetation. If the tree has been sprayed, you will want to discard any fruit. We do carry products that can be applied to edibles. Please let us know what you are targeting so that we can make a proper recommendation that will best fit your needs.

  • Asked by Ishara from Durban

    Q
Can Tempo SC Ultra be applied on furniture and furnishings?
Our home was recently sprayed with Tempo SC. Some of the furnishings eg beds curtains etc may have come in contact with the the solution. Are the surfaces safe when dry or should they be discarded? How long does the residue remain on the surfaces before its completely gone? When dry does it pose a hazard to children or pets during the time the residue remains in our home? Thanks
    A

Tempo SC is safe to use indoors when applied as a crack and crevice treatment according to the instructions on the product label. This is a residual insecticide that should not be applied to personal items like bedding or resting areas of furniture. If you think clothing or bedding may be contaminated, then you would want to wash these items before use. It is fine for people and pets to re-enter the treatment area after the application is dry.

  • Asked by Ishara from Durban
    03/30/2018
    Q
Is there residue transfer of Tempo SC Ultra?
I have had Tempo SC sprayed 1 month ago. I know the residue is safe when dry. Will the residue contaminate other items eg kitchen sink, crockery, cutlery, food containers clothes etc if the mops and cloths used to clean areas of the house that were treated are washed in the sink? If so will regular soap, dishwasher, washing machine remove the residue or do I need a chemical strength cleaner?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra should not be applied to these items and the residual left behind would not be picked up by items that contact a treated area. Contaminated items or surfaces should be washed thoroughly using an appropriate cleaner for those items.

  • Asked by Mc from Ellensburg, Wa
    05/30/2018
    Q
After I spray Tempo, should I expect to see spiders emerge?
I sprayed inside and outside of my house one week ago, and since then I have seen more spiders in the house than ever before.
    A

You will still see insects including spiders after applying Tempo SC Ultra as it is not a repellent meant to keep them away.  It is designed to leave a long residual that will continue to kill insects that contact a treated surface.  After application you may notice an increase in activity as they are able to detect something has been applied and may be more irritated.  It can be applied once a month outside and once every 90 days outside.
