Can Tempo SC Ultra be mixed stronger to work better against bed bugs?
    A

It is not recommend to mix Tempo SC Ultra or any insecticide at a higher dosage than what is recommended on the product label. This could cause a resistance issue down the road. Tempo SC Ultra is not labeled to kill bed bugs. Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra kill Japanese beetles and stink bugs?
    A

Yes  Tempo SC Ultra? will work for stinkbugs.  Stinkbugs are not listed on the label of most insecticides yet because they have only started becoming a problem for homeowners and property owners in recent years. Be sure to spray eaves, soffits, window frames, door frames, areas where cables, pipes or wires enter into the structure and any other crack, crevice or gap where insects can harbor. We also recommend starting applications in early August to prevent having the stink bugs move in with you and sealing up as many cracks, crevces and gaps as possible. Tempo SC Ultra is labeled for Japanese Beetles.

    Q
Can I use Tempo SC Ultra as a drench to control aphids?
    A

While Tempo SC Ultra will control aphids, it is not labeled to be used as a drench.  A great product to use as a drench for aphids would be Dominion 2L Termiticide Concentrate. When using Dominion 2L to treat for aphids you would mix 0.1 - 0.4 fl oz per inch of the trunk diameter in no less than 10 gallons per 100 sq ft of treatment area. You typically want to start about 12 inches from the base of the tree and out to the drip line.

  • Asked by Amy from Nanticoke, Pa

    Q
Would Sevin Concentrate be recommended to treat flies and wasps in a magnolia tree?
I recently purchased a home and I have a magnolia tree that is about 15 ft tall. It is over run/covered with flies and wasps. I've used Sevin already on the lawn (mix with hose water) and sprayed the trees we well, including leaves, branches and trunk. Many flies died, but it has not done anything to the wasps and a lot of flies are still around. There are so many, I can't get close enough to the truck to trim low branches. There are not any noticeable nests in the tree. Any idea what I can do?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra would be a great choice to apply as a foliar spray for wasps, flies, hornets, etc for a quick knockdown. We would also suggest using Wasp X Wasp and Hornet Spray for a contact kill and foaming residual.

  • Asked by Jeff from Mt View Wyoming

    Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra kill kissing bugs?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra contains a pyrethroid called beta-cyfluthrin, which behaves similarly to natural pyrethrum, except with much longer residual activity. While the product label does not specifically list kissing bugs, this is a non-selective insecticide and would likely affect any insect that would contact it. Please see the following articles from Texas A&M for more information regarding kissing bugs in Texas:
