I applied this product on March 11 at the recommended rate per acre. So far on March 27, only the chickweed has shown signs of effectiveness. I have many other

    Not so fast

    By Mike on 09/14/2019

Used recommended amount, 1/2 teaspoon. It took 7 days to start to notice the crabgrass turning white. Checked weeds along side of house yesterday, finally dying. tomorrow is 3 wks, ready for 2nd application. Put the right amount of dye in the 1 gal. sprayer and could hardly see it. I believe it took longer to act than what was written on the instructions. Hopefully it works better in the spring as a preemergent, or it's not worth the money.

I think it's a good product, but is complicated to use.

    By Roger on 09/13/2019

I tried reading that label on the bottle, but it was a little confusing. After searching the internet and reading many Q&A's, I found that you must use it with a surfactant and a dye marker, sweep areas with a single pass, and use it below 80 degree's F or there will be complications. Also, it will not be rainfast for at least 6 hours. After more reading, I find many users need a second application. ARGH! In the end, Tenacity seems to be killing nimblewill, clover, crabgrass and other broadleaf plants in lawn areas. No way to know for sure till next spring.

    Got different advice!

    By Pamela on 08/16/2019

When I called customer support for the company that makes Tenacity, someone told me it could be reapplied every 10 days, but had to be applied only when it didn't rain for 2 more days after application. With the unpredictable rains in zone 6, this is quite difficult to do, but it was a very light rain the next day of only a couple of minutes. Also, my local landscaper stated it takes "weeks to show" effects, and by then there will be way too much bent grass. It's green so I'm living with it!! Confusing information annoys me with such a potent product. I don't want to harm my lawn by over applying this product. Also, I had an extremely difficult time removing the cap and had to use pliers. Then the cap was difficult to secure fully...tipped over and leaked like crazy.

    War on Nimblewill

    By Janet on 08/16/2019

After two applications on my nimblewill infested lawn, applied two weeks apart, I am seeing some browning of the target weed and no damage to the lawn. I am encouraged so far. Will apply again at the proper interval and hope for more progress. I used both other products with Tenacity that were recommended but did not find the blue marker to be very helpful. There was not enough contrast between it and the lawn to be able to see where I had been and where I needed to go.

    Worked as described but.....

    By Grover on 08/10/2019

I followed the instructions and the clover and crabgrass were killed, but so was my grass. I was careful to only spray the weeds but my grass in the area turned brown and has not returned to the green color I had prior to spraying the weed killer. I'm not sure if I'll try it anywhere else in my yard. As far as killing the weeds it did the job.

    By John on 07/26/2019

    Treatment may have been botched!

    By David on 03/04/2019

    Verified Purchase

After the reviews I read I thought this would be great for pre-emergent treatment for my lawn this year. It's been so wet all winter and still don't think enough time passed between rainfalls for this treatment to do anything. There was close to 36 hours without rain but, then two days of 1/2" rainfall with more later in the week. Today is day 6 after treatment. I don't see anything changing at this time. I used about 6 oz. to treat 5,000 sq. ft. of lawn. I'm anxious to know if anyone every had this type of weather and if they had to re-treat or what did they do.
