    Does Termidor foam work for ground holes?
    I have subterranean termites around the kitchen sink. I drilled 2 ground holes near it, reaching the soil. Would using the foam work or should I use the liquid one instead?
    A
    If you have drilled into the soil and are treating the soil under the slab then it is best to use Termidor SC. When you use Termidor SC in soil, it will last atleast 10 years.

    Termidor FOAM for open tunnels in Fence? How remove excess?
    I read the label and SDS. In the SDS, it says "For fences, treat exposed surfaces where termites or ants are active (foam must dissipate or be removed prior to leaving area)." My fence is quite infested and tunnels are visible from the outside already. Normally I inject the foam into a hole, but in this case, do I just spread the foam along the visible tunnels? Also, what is meant by "foam must dissipate?" And what is considered "removed prior to leaving area?" Thanks much.

    When treating fences with Termidor FOAM, you will inject the foam in to the holes and can use a putty knife or spatula to spread the foam if needed. The product label states the applicator must ensure the application dissipates completely into the wood so the foam is not left exposed for non target insects or animals.

    Difference in active ingredient percentage of Termidor SC and Termidor FOAM
    I noticed that there is 9.1% fipronil in the termidor liquid but only 0.005% in the foam. I've used it before and I know it works but just wondering why such a drastic difference when I feel I could put the liquid and a foaming agent in a termite foamer and possibly get better results?

    Termidor FOAM comes in a ready to use formulation whereas Termidor SC is a liquid concentrate that has to be diluted with water, so that is the reason the percentage of active ingredient is different. You can absolutely add a foaming agent to Termidor SC, but both products would render the same results.

    Is it too much to treat with Termidor FOAM indoors and Termidor SC outdoors?
    A

    Termidor FOAM can be used to treat inside where you can directly spot treat active infestations and Termidor SC would be used in a trench (and in drilled holes in concrete) around the home.  We have a step by step guide that will walk you through how to do your own termite trenching treatment.

    Can I use Termidor Foam for termite treatment above windows?
    A

    Yes, you can treat this infestation using Termidor Foam. You will need to drill into the infested area to apply the foam. Termidor FOAM expands rapidly creating a dry foam that can be applied in the voids, harborages, galleries, and nests where insects are found. The foam generated has an expansion ratio of 30:1. In about 5 seconds 1 oz. of product becomes approximately 1 quart of foam. For more tips, we recommend to read over step 1 of our article on How to Get Rid of Subterranean Termites.

    I am still active termites in a door frame that I drilled holes in and injected Termidor FOAM? Is this normal?

    Termidor Foam uses a non repellent active ingredient Fipronil. Thiis active ingredient works slow because it allows the active to transfer between termites so it can spread throughout killing more than just the termites that come in contact with the residual.

    Is is okay to use liquid all around. And when should the foam be used or can I just have all liquid

    You can use Termidor SC around the outside perimeter of structures and indoors as spot treatment. Please see our How to Barrier article.

    How do I use Termidor foam indoors for ants in kitchen?
    A

    We would not recommend use of a product like Termidor Foam in the kitchen for treating ants. You may want to use an ant bait gel instead. Our Indoor Ant Kit would help cover the ants dietary needs of sugar and protein, as well as an insecticide you can spray around baseboards, cracks, crevices and any other entry points including under the kitchen sink. We also have a great Ant Treatment Guide that can help guide you to effectively get rid of these ants.

    You can directly treat the nests by drilling into the posts and applying a product such as Termidor Foam. Where in your home are these posts located?

    Does temperature or moisture affect safety when using termidor foam?
    I have active mud tube in the walls of my boiler room. I plan to inject the foam into the wall. The boiler room is always warm with the boiler or furnace running in there. Would higher temperatures cause the chemicals to be in the air as vapor? If I have a water leak in the boiler room and the water comes into contact with the foam, is that unsafe?
    A
    As long as the product is not coming into contact with open flame or getting to extreme temperatures to hit a flash point (which is listed on the MSDS we have linked on the product page) there should be no harm. Also it will not vaporize or be an issue of water gets on it as it has moisture in it to begin with. The water if anything would dissapate the foam faster.

    What product would I use for indoor application under concrete floor?
    We are moving the sink from the wall side of the kitchen to the island side and have to dig a trench in the concrete floor for the plumbing. We have to treat the trench for termites before we replace the concrete (with 6x6 #10 wire mesh and a vapor barrier). Not sure which Termidor to use. The trench will only be at most 8 ft long, maybe 6 inches wide...? That's a guess though.

    Termidor SC should be applied in a 6" by 6" trench directly around the exterior of the structure. It is not applied indoors. It is labeled for outdoor use only. Termidor Foam can be used indoors for a spot treatment that will kill existing termites but will only provide up to 6 weeks of treatment and does not replace the exterior trench treatment.     Can Termidor Foam be used for yellow jackets?

    Termidor Foam is not labeled for yellow jackets. Termidor SC may be used for yellow jackets found on the exterior of a structure or within 1 foot of the foundation.     Can Termidor Foam be used to treat a termite-infested tree in my backyard?

    Termidor FOAM can be used to directly spot treat active nests in trees as directed on the product label.

    Can I use Termidor Foam on a 4 x 4 wood post?
    I notice dryrot termite eating at a 4x4 wood post. What and how can I treat this? Is this foam only to spray into hallow spaces?

    You can use Termidor FOAM in the wood post.  You would need to drill directly into the galllery where the drywood termites are infesting and foam into it as directed on the product label.

    How to treat garage studs that are directly on concrete
    I had to replace garage wall - Though it was water. But I now know its termites. The walls are covered with drywall - I noticed what looked like little piles of sawdust . Cut out squares on side of studs - I found a tunnel. I have been putting termite and carpenter bee spray from HD in there. It stopped - but they keep coming back. The wall is on garage blocks - treated bottom plate - then reg. wood. Wished we used all treated wood. So what can I spray into the studs ?

    You mentioned finding sawdust but you did not mention finding mud tunnels. Do you know if you have subterannean termites or drywood termites?
