    Should I spray the INSIDE of the foundation under the house for ants?
    Ants are invading the kitchen and I believe that they are coming from underneath the house, inside on the corner of the foundation. I saw them on the outside and sprayed the perimeter of the house, but they keep coming. Should we spray in cracks under the cabinets or under the foundation in the house? If I can spray under the house, how should I dilute it?

    It is very posssible that the main colony is in a void under the home and the main colony has yet to be effected by the application. You can reapply under the home and in the void areas to get rid of the ants once and for all.

    What can I use to inject Termidor SC below slab, where it is not possible to trench (after I drill concrete)?
    A
    Termidor SC can be applied in drilled holes. You will drill 10-12 inches apart. You would mix the solution into a 5 gallon bucket and pour into funnels (these can be purchased locally). This will allow the product to reach the soil. It is recommended to disperse 4 gallons of finished solution every 10 lineal feet.

    Is it ok, that the exterminator used Termidor to control Argentine ants around the foundation?
    A
    Termidor SC is a terrific treatment for Argentine ants! The ants crawl through the treated area, not knowing that by ingesting treated materials or merely contacting the insecticide, they'll die. Termidor is unique because ants not directly exposed to the Termidor-treated area will be controlled as they come into contact with affected ants. This Transfer Effect means you'll see its effects on ants in one to three days, and most species will be controlled within the first week following the treatment.

    I just found a termite colony under my house in my crawl space? I want to use the strongest Termidor solution.

    Termidor SC is a great choice for termite treatments. It lasts 10+ years in the soil if applied as directed. I have included a termite article below for additional information on treating around your structure. If you are going to be treating the wood in the crawlspace, we recommend that you apply Bora-Care if treating for drywood termites.

    If I am understanding correctly, I would use the Bora-Care to treat the wood inside the house. Then I would use the Termidor SC to treat the ground outside?

    Termidor SC is a liquid treatment for the soil outside and will be poured in the trench first.
    Bora-Care is a wood treatment product that is great for drywood termites. Please read the article below for additional information on treating termites yourself.

    What is the best product for a barrier treatment for ants in FL?
    A
    We would recommend applying Termidor SC on the outside of the structure 1 ft up and 1 ft out once every six months as a barrier. Termidor SC also acts as a liquid bait so it will transfer back to the colony and spread throughout the colony. Talstar P (Talstar One) can be applied in other areas around your property where you are not treating with the Termidor SC. Talstar P can be applied monthly outdoors and every 3 months inside cracks and crevices. We also carry a Complete Ant Kit that works very well for ants. It offers them a sweet feeding bait and a protein granular that they consume and share amongst each other.

    How do I treat areas where the foundation is covered by concrete?
    A

    We recommend that you trench the areas where there is soil and drill 10-12" apart and inject the solution into those areas. You will disperse the same amount of finished solution in the drilled holes as you would the trench, 4 gallons of solution every 10 lineal feet.     Will Termidor SC kill shrubs close to 6" trench?
    A
    Termidor SC is not a weed or shrub killer but if the shrubs are obstructing the trenched area or contain anything edible then they need to be removed or relocated. Please refer to the product label for more detailed information on the product by clicking the link below.

    NEW HOME FDN, have 264 lf of footings 24" wide @.8 oz per gallon i figure 4.4 bottles.
    remainder of house is 2700 sq ft. per answer on page 221 says 10 sq feet per gallon which is 250 sq feet per bottle and would be 11 bottles to treat area under slab. thanks need to order next week if this correct.

    When building a structure you should apply Termidor to the entire area under where you are going to pour the slab.  You should apply Termidor at the rate of 1 gallon per 10 square feet.  You should apply slightly more around the perimeter edges and around any plumbing pipes or expansion joints that will be in the slab.     Termidor Question
    Hello: I would like to do a termidor termite treatment to my house. I have a brick house on hollow block concrete foundation with a termite shield flashing between the concrete and brick. Trenching would be a pain in the ass. If I drill into the blocks every foot and inject 0.4 gallons of termidor solution into each hole, will this sufficienty protect my house? What tool should I use to inject the termidor, just a rgular sprayer or a foaming one?
    A
    It is very important to trench each side of the hollow blocks, even more important than drilling into each block to inject the Termidor solution. The problem is that the termites will be still be able to build tubes on the outer areas of the blocks and still access your home. Your treatments will be far more successfull if you trench and treat on either side of the hollow block. PLease let u sknow if you have any additional questions.

    What is the procedure for drilling termite holes into post tension foundations?
    A
    If your slab has already been poured and the tension applied, there is no drilling that needs to be done unless you have already poured a driveway/garage/sidewalk up to the side of the foundation. Once the slab has been poured, your termite protection will be to do a trench treatment like is explained in our guide How To Do a Termite Treatment, and shown in the video both on that page and the product page for the Termidor product you use to treat with.

    Trim around exterior post on concrete slab has termite damage.
    How should i treat the post to eliminate termite? Likely footing under the slab to support the post. Pro inspection showed no signs of termites in other areas.

    To treat a post, you need to trench around the post and pour the mixed Termidor SC solution directly into the soil. Termidor binds to soil and will kill any active infestation in the post and remain in the soil for 10 years. You can also spot spray and treat the trim on the post directly.

    How can I treat my nectarine tree for termites?
    I have fruit trees in brick and cinder block planter in my backyard on the side of the house. The fruit trees trunks are spaced about five feet apart. My nectarine tree may have been damaged/decayed from other pests, but now has been infested by termites (I was told either drywood or subterranean or both). Is there a method to treat the tree without contaminating the soil or the other fruit trees with dangerous chemicals? Can I just chop down the whole tree and remove it, stump, roots, and all? Also, the tree is about 10 feet away from my house so if it is subterranean and I remove the tree, will they seek my house? If I have to use chemicals, which would you suggest and what methods should I undertake?
    A
    Termites do not attack live, healthy trees. If the tree has been damaged by termites it would be advisable to remove the tree and perform a liquid termite soil treatment with Termidor SC to ensure subterranean termites to not find a food source inside of your home. Please take a few minutes to read our article How to Perform a Termite Treatment which will explain how to do the treatment in laymens terms and also explain any needed equipment. Most folks find that they only need a 5 gallon bucket and perhaps a drill in some situations. You should follow the Termidor product label and you should mix Termidor with water as specified. No special equipment is needed to diltute Termidor because it is a water based product and readily mixes with water.

    What's an easy way to spot treat a termite infestation in a wood floor which has no access to the crawl space?
    I want to do a Termidor perimeter treatment but I want to delay the exterior treatment till spring when the ground isn't soaked from snow. Naturally, I want to do the interior spot treatment right away to avoid further damage. I thought about drilling holes above each joist and injecting Termidor Foam. The idea being that the foam won't just drop to the dirt below. Another thought is to spray liquid Termidor directly on the bottom of the floor and sides of the joists using a 360 degree wand that sprays sideways or even backward. Does such a wand exist? BTW, the hardwood floor is probably not true hardwood. I'm pretty sure it is a tongue and groove subflooring that has been finished to look nice. The termites ate through it and were exposed when we lifted a throw rug.

    Termidor SC should be applied in a 6" by 6" trench directly around the exterior of the structure but we understand that you are waiting for the appropriate weather. It is not applied indoors. It is labeled for outdoor use only. Termidor Foam can be used indoors for a spot treatment that will kill existing termites but will only provide up to 6 weeks of treatment and does not replace the exterior trench treatment. Termidor SC or Termidor Foam will not be a wood  treatment product. We also carry a product called Jecta that can be applied into wood for spot treatments.     If Termidor SC was to be applied on any lawn, plants, trees, bushes. etc, would it kill them?
    A
    Termidor is not labeled for use on trees, plants or turf.  It is only labeled for use around your homes foundation for termites, ants, and other selected pests.  Termidor SC should have no effect on plants that are inadvertently sprayed with the product. It is important to read and follow the Termidor SC product label which states that you can only treat one foot up from and one foot out from where the ground meets the structure. The label also recommends that you remove or prune away plants, shrubs or tree branches that touch the structure. Vegetation that comes into contact with the structure may offer a route of entry for the ants allowing them to enter the structure without ever having come into contact with the treated area

    Is Termidor SC safe to apply in an opened interior wall?
    We had treated and killed a termite infestation in May, and just recently began to repair the termite damage. When we took off the drywall to begin repairs, we found a colony of living termites. Is it safe to apply termidor and cover the open wall with a plastic sheet?

    Termidor SC is safe to apply as a spot treatment in voids. You can apply to an open wall and us a plastic sheet to cover while you are allowing the treatment to dry. You must then seal the open wall back up.
