I did an application today and the bag did not say the ground had to be dry. I got it out of the trash to read it again after reading that comment, and it did not say that.
Per the manufacturer, Bayer Advanced Complete Insect Killer for Soil & Turf only requires 1/4 - 1/2" of water after application which the ground readily absorbs and this activates the product. If you apply the granules to an already saturated ground, then it won't be able to absorb the additional necessary water required to activate the product.
