What is Indoxacarb?
Indoxacarb is an oxadiazine pesticide manufactured and patented by DuPont. Oxadiazines work by blocking nerve sodium channels in insects’ bodies, leading to dehydration and death.
Indoxacarb Third Generation Kill Benefits
Since Indoxacarb is the only chemical in its class, it offers laboratory-tested benefits that other pesticides simply cannot duplicate. For starters, indoxacarb remains active even after digestion so it can be passed along to other insects through feces and bait sharing. It is the first pest control bait that scientists have found to remain active after it has been transferred twice after the first lethal dose. Passing poison like this from one insect to another is known as horizontal transfer. This allows Indoxacarb products to target and kill muliple generations of roaches with a single feeding.
Indoxacarb Products
Indoxacarb is the main ingredient in the Advion line of household insect baits, targeting primarily ants, roaches and mole crickets.
Target Pests
Products containing indoxacarb target mainly lepidopteran (moth and butterfly) larvae and other crawling household pests such as ants, fire ants, roaches, and mole crickets.
