    Q
What kind of insecticide can I use to get rid of the lave, eggs so they do not winter over?
.I have a lot of white flies in my cucumber, beans, tomatoes, moon flowers, morning glory, herbs. I am from Old Bridge, New Jersey.
    A

Adonis 2F is not labeled for use on edibles. Instead, we would recommend using the Fertilome Triple Action with 70% Neem Oil. It is a multi-purpose insecticide, fungicide, miticide that kills eggs, larval and adult stages of insects and controls plant diseases. Fertilome Triple Action can be applied every 7-14 days to kill existing diseases and insect pests. It can also be applied up to the day of harvest on all fruit trees and vegetable plants.

    Q
How frequently should Adonis 2F be applied for whitefly/aphid infestation on large ligustrums?
I used entire 27 1/2 oz on 36 ligustrums that are about 10 feet tall. Leaves have sooty mold and eggs are on undersides of leaves. Hoping systemic will be effective before eggs hatch in March. How frequently should I apply the insecticide? And, did I use enough?
    A
You will need to apply Adonis two times per year for whitefly. You may also need to use a foliage spray such as Talstar P to get control of the whitefly as the Adonis is tranlocated through the plant (it can take about month to translocate through the plant).

    Q
Can I use Adonis 2F as a systemic treatment for whitefly on a mulberry tree?
    A

You can use Adonis 2F as a systemic insecticide on ornamental trees and shrubs or on other trees from which you will not consume the fruit. You should NOT use Adonis 2F on a tree from which you plan to eat the fruit. According to the product label, use 0.1 to 0.2 ounces per inch of trunk diameter in no less than 10 gallons of water per 1,000 square feet. Be sure to remove and plastic sheeting, mulch, or other ground barrier before applying. It is also best to keep the treatment area moist for 7-10 days following the application for the best uptake.

    Q
I have a flat headed cedar borer killing off sections of my Emerald Green Arborvitae an wondering if your product will be effective in my situation?
    A
Adonis 2F Insecticide/Termiticide is labeled for systemic applications of trees and shrubs for flat-headed borers. You will need to measure the tree at breast height all round for the circumference and divide that number by 3.14 (pi) and multiple by 0.1-0.2 fl oz. This will determine how much product will be needed for each tree or multiple 0.1-0.2 fl oz per height of any shrub. You will use a minimum of 10 gallons of water per 1,000 sq ft. We recommend that you contact a local arborist or Master Gardener at your local cooperative extension office to determine if the Emerald Green Arborvitae is not heavily already damaged prior to treating. Please let us know if you need anything else.
