  • Asked by Ev from Centralia, Mo

    Q
Should I use Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control before or after I spread grass seed?
I do not see a lot of grubs at this time(March 31)
    A

You should not treat for grubs yet if you are putting down new grass seed. Products applied to the lawn for grubs need to be absorbed by the grass in order to work when the grubs feed on that grass. The Bonide Systemic Insect Control Granules is not for use on turf, but it is for use on plants like shrubs in the ground and containerized plants. You would want a product like Merit G for use on the turfgrass.

  • Asked by Julie from Fredericksburg, Va
    01/01/2021
    Q
Can Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control be used on vegetable seedlings to control fungal gnats?
Seedlings cannot be permitted to dry out during the germination process so fungal gnats are always a problem indoors when growing new plants.
    A

Bonide Systemic Granules are not labeled for use on anything edible. Fungus gnats are primarily a problem caused by overwatering of your plants. You can eliminate your fungus gnat problem by drying out the soil of your plants for several days since they cannot thrive without moisture in the soil.
