    Q
Is Maxforce Pro Roach bait safe to use with pets in the household? Cats in particular.
    A
Maxforce Pro is safe to use in a home with cats and other pets when used as directed on the product label. Maxforce Pro is for use only as a spot or crack and crevice treatment for the indoor control of Cockroaches in residential areas and only in areas inaccessible to children and pets. You should place small dots of bait every 10-12 inches in kitchens and bathrooms directly in cracks and crevices on and under counter tops, in cabinets, cupboards, drawers and food pantries, around dishwashers, refrigerators, sinks, pipes and baseboards. Do not place bait on food prep surfaces or in places that you will frequently touch or in places that are frequently washed. You can also use Maxforce Pro in other rooms in cracks and crevices if you are seeing roach activity in those areas.

    Q
How often do I need to re-apply the Maxforce Pro Roach Bait gel?
I live in an apartment. I use stuff from the market, and it stops them for few weeks but they start coming back again. How long will one application work?
    A
The Maxforce Pro Roach Bait Gel will stay effective for several weeks after it is applied. It will not prevent new roaches from moving in, it will only kill the roaches as they happen to eat it. We recommend that you use caulk or other suitable material to close any crack, crevice or gap around baseboards, pipes, wires, cables, cabinets, vents, door frames, window frames and any other place where insects could enter. This will help stop the roaches from moving from adjoining apartments through the walls and into your apartment. In addition, you should spray around the perimeter of each room with a good insecticide such as Demon WP and you should use an insect growth regulator (Gentrol) to control the breeding cycle of the roaches that have already entered your apartment. We do have a roach control kit that contains all of the products you need to get rid of the roaches you have now and help keep them gone, the Roach Control Kit 2.

    Q
Can we use Maxforce Pro Roach Killer Bait Gel inside a telephone?
I found a roach nest inside some of my office telephones. Is the roach gel harmful to humans? If the roach gel is placed on the base and then the headset was placed on the base, will it transfer from the headset to ear?
    A
We recommend placing Maxforce Pro Roach Killer Bait Gel on the underside of the telephone base where people would be less likey to come in contact with the gel placements. When used properly, Maxforce Pro Roach Killer Bait Gel is safe for use around humans. Please read the product label before applying the gel to ensure correct application. Nuvan Prostrips may be helpful in eliminating the roaches from the telephones. The phones would need to be placed in a sealed bag or container for several days with the Nuvan Prostrips to eliminate the live roaches.

    Q
What else is inMaxforce Pro Roach Killer Bait Gel other than the active ingredient to make it attractive to roaches?
Fibronli i know. I mean is it sugary substance or whatesle? it make attractive to cockroches?
    A
The Max Force Pro Roach Gel actually contains hyrdamethylnon as the active ingredient and is made from a combination of carbohydrate and protein based foods that make the gel very attractive to roaches. As for what is actually put in the base, that is proprietary industry information that the manufacturer does not release as they do not want other manufacturers copying their formula.

    Q
Will the Maxforce Pro Roach Bait Gel work on spiders. If not is there a gel for spiders.
    A
Maxforce Pro Roach Killer Bait Gel is not labeled for spiders. To treat spiders we recommend using a residual spray and making it impossible for the spiders to web. To do this we have put together a spider control kit. The spider control kit includes a residual spray, insect glueboards and Web out a spray that makes the surfaces sprayed slick so that spiders cannot web.

    Q
I'm wondering if one box of Maxforce Pro Roach Killer will do for our home?
We have only seen roaches in our kitchen, mostly at night and in the early morning hiding behind appliances, etc... We have never seen them in the bathroom (we have a split level house and there are no bathrooms on the kitchen level). Is it possible that they are limited to the kitchen? The infestation is only 3-5 months old and seems to have occurred after we bought a used fridge.
    A
Yes, one box of Maxforce Pro Roach Killer Bait Gel (Hydramethylnon) will be enough to treat your home. However, whenever you are treating a roach infestation we would recommend using an IGR (insect growth regulator) such as Gentrol Point Source to stop the reproductive cycle of the roaches.

  • Asked by Sarah from Weddington, Nc

    Q
How much maxforce pro roach killer will i need to purchase for a 2500 sq ft house?
    A
The manufacturer does not give a quantity per so many square feet.  It just depends on how bad your infestation is and how many rooms in the house you need to treat.  Most of the time the problem is confined to the kitchen first, and then bathrooms.  If you have a bad infestation, then it may be in all of the rooms.  If you have a light infestation, only see them at night, and they are only in the kitchen, then 1 box will probably do the trick.  If you have a heavy infestation then you may need 3 or 4 boxes worth.

    Q
Does the toxicity of Maxforce Pro Roach Gel (Hydramethylnon) diminish after some time?
Maxforce Pro Roach Killer Bait Gel (Hydramethylnon) cockroach gel has been applied about 3 years ago to the inside of cupboards and cabinets in my apartment, but almost all of the gel pieces are still visible and haven't been removed, and I want to know if the residues are still toxic after a few years of being applied? Does the toxicity diminish completely after some time or does it stay toxic? If it diminishes, how long does it take?
    A

The Maxforce Pro Roach Bait Gel will stay effective for several weeks after it is applied. After 3 years, the chances of any beneficial residual effects or bait attractant in the gel is unlikely. If you do not currently have roaches, those bait placements could be scraped off and removed.

If you have active roaches, roach bait gel placements need to be reapplied every 2 weeks so that fresh bait is offered in addition to using a residual insecticide and insect growth regulator.

View our Roach Control Kits and Roach Treatment Guide for more information.
