Details

The Centro Bulb Duster is made of thick pliable rubber that holds up to 14oz. of dust and comes with a removable 12" brass extension with a curved tip. The Centro Bulb duster is manufactured for years of repeated use by pest management professionals. The brass extension features a curved tip for ease of application into holes and crevices.

To use the Centro Bulb duster simply fill duster about half way full of the dust of your choice, direct nozzle into crack, crevice, or void and squeeze the bulb. Remove extension if not needed. (Use care to remove nozzle from crack, crevice, hole or void before releasing pressure from bulb after squeezing. By leaving the nozzle inserted into these locations you risk sucking in moisture, dirt or debris that will block the nozzle)

Good for penetrating dust in crevices

    By Jon on 04/28/2010

Bought this in 2009 and have no regrets. Holds a lot of dust and is very forceful in getting the dust in crevices - my particular application was the soffits of my home on the second story no less! The extender is high quality brass metal. The curve at the end is great to be able to angle where you want the dust to go. Much better than those little hand dusters. One caution: upon release of the bulb after squeezing, be careful that debris in the crevice does not get drawn back into the bulb.

    Heavy duty piece of arsenal

    By Alex on 05/13/2010

    Verified Purchase

I bought this to use with the Delta Dust so I could stop carpenter bees from ruining my kids' wooden playset. The extension tube made reaching the holes easier, as did the curved tip. This duster is very heavy duty rubber and I was glad it wasn't something cheap and breakable. Holds a surprising amount even when only half full. Glad I won't need to keep refilling everytime. Getting the hang of squeezing the right amount of dust does take attention and practice. I didn't want to make the dust pile up at the opening of the bee hole and not get down into the tunnels so I squeezed lightly/moderately at a medium/slow rate. It also worked better for me when I held it upside to use it. It must have been effective because there has been no bee activity since I used this with the Delta Dust.

    Great Product for using Dust

    By D.g. on 07/12/2009

This centrobulb duster is a great product for using your dust products. I learned about this product because my exterminator uses it. The shape of it is perfect for reaching under baseboards. I'm definitely buying this product so that I'm able to exterminate on my own.

    Effective duster

    By Rc on 04/01/2012

    Verified Purchase

Ordered this to apply diatomaceous earth. Arrived quicker than the earth. Seems heavy duty, both rubber and metals. Filled about half full, it applied a fine layer quickly and easily. I tested it on some small beetles and ants passing through a bathroom. No more bugs. Powder will stack on the mechanism and fall off when you pull it out of bulb. Makes a small mess. Fine product. Fine service.

    Works exceptionally well

    By Scott on 11/01/2014

    Verified Purchase

Every year we have yellow jacket nests in our kids play areas. I bought this as a replacement for my homemade bottle duster. Works 10x better, especially dusting holes in the ground where the bulb has to be held vertically. Extension helps too. Solidly crafted. Strongly recommend.

Q
Can I get the instructions for a Centrobulb duster?

I just purchased and received a Centrobulb Duster and Delta Dust. There were no instructions included with the products, but I did find instructions on your site for Delta Dust. In these instruction it suggested

A
Yes, it is advised to place a marble or rock in the duster.  This will prevent the dust from getting clumpy sometimes in humid or moist conditions and prevent the duster from clogging.  A marble seems to work very well.

Q
Using the Centrobulb in an upright position

I need to dust the eaves around my house. Several reviews said the Centrobulb Duster did not work in an upright position. One even mentioned they did shake the powder before using. What are they doing wrong?

A
The Centrobulb duster actually has a brass tube with a filter on the end that runs inside the length of the bulb. When people are trying to use the the duster with the nozzle pointed straight up, they are blocking the filter with all of the dust and the air cannot circulate. The Centrobulb duster should be used either with the nozzle parallel to the ground or with the nozzle pointed down to the ground for the most consistent dust applications. If you really need to use it with the nozzle pointed up then you can add a marble or small bearing to the bulb (this will help break up clumps of dust and help avoid clogging), only fill the bulb about 1/4 full of dust and shake the duster each time you squeeze the bulb.

Q
Do they make a 6 or 12 inch extension for this Centrobulb duster?
A
This centrobulb duster that we sell comes with a 12" extension.  You can also use the duster without the extension if you need to.  It does not come with extensions of any other size.

Q
Can the Centrobulb Duster be used without the Curved Tip?

I have Carpenter Ants in the wall and I want to drill small holes through the drywall right into the studs around where the Ants are nesting. The curved tip would make it impossible to fit the applicator into the small holes I will be drilling into the wall, but if the curved tip can be disconnected from the the 12" extension, I will have no problems inserting the applicator through the small hole in the drywall and into the studs where the Ants are nesting. Thanks for your time.

A
Yes, you can use the centrobulb duster without the curved tip.  However, the tip is smaller than the extension tube so it may not be the best fit.  You may want to look at the B&G 1150 duster which comes with long, thin, bendable nozzles that may work better for your use.
