Per the product label for Martins Permethrin 10%:  
 
Applicators and other handlers must wear: Long-sleeved shirt and long pants, chemical-resistant gloves such as barrier laminate, butyl rubber, nitrile rubber, neoprene rubber, or viton, and shoes plus socks. For exposure in enclosed areas, a respirator with a canister approved for pesticides (MSHA/ NIOSH approval number prefix TC-14G).
 
You should keep pets and other people out of the treatment area until the application is dry.
