When using Acelepryn G Insecticide there is a varying application rate of 1.15 - 2.3 lb per 1000 sq ft depending on what pest you are treating. Also the timing of treatment would depend on the pest as well. Please see the product label for appplication timing and Table 1: Turfgrass Application Rates to be sure you are treating at the right time. You can also contact you local Extension Office as well for the correct timing in your specific area.
We don't have the exact spreader setting for your model spreader. The easiest way to determine the correct setting for your needs is outlined below:
If you need to use 3lbs of product per 1,000 sq ft you would add 3 lb of product to spreader, start with a medium setting, then apply product to a 20 x 50 ft area (1,000 sq ft). If you have product left, your setting is too low. If you run out of product, your setting is too high. Typically if you walk at a normal pace and set the spreader at the middle setting, that is usually the right amount per 1000 square feet.
Yes, Acelepryn G Insecticide needs to be watered in after application. According to the product label, you want to irrigate turf immediately after application or allow rainfall to move the product into the soil.
