Ideally, when using a product like Advion Cockroach Gel Bait you wouldn't want to use anything that could contaminate the bait and make it unattractive to consume, and you want products that will work with the bait effectively to move through the colony to other roaches. Using a spray with a transfer like Temprid FX or Alpine WSG along baseboards and in areas where you wouldn't place the bait can help reach more of the population. While boric acid powder is used by many customers for roaches, it is best not to use it too close to any baits you are trying to lure the roaches to consume.
