Gel bait didn't work
By Jenia on 12/10/2021
The syringe bait gel doesn't work but the arenas are great. Food within these poisons must be different so I have to stick with arenas cause the roaches fest on them. Just wish they sold the same bait (food) in the syringe because same ingredient% poison but visibly the food must be different by far. The roaches won't touch it. No attraction like arenas.

Advion cockroach gel bait bb
By Benji on 07/08/2022
Instead of removing/killing the few roaches. We had at home , after applying the gel bait , it multiplied them instead and now i don't know what to do or what other roach bait to use to get rid of the roaches, i don't recommend it
Expert response:
We are sorry to hear that the product is not working as expected and for the delay in responding to your review.
Seeing more roaches after applying a bait is perfectly normal and means the bait is actually working as it is only attracting those roaches that are in the area already. It is not attracting any more from other areas.
We are happy to help troubleshoot any issues and make sure expectations are in line with how a product is designed to work. You will still see roaches after using the bait but should start to notice a decrease within a few days to a few weeks or so depending on the level of infestation you are dealing with.
Can you please tell us if you are using anything else?
How often have you applied the bait?
How much was applied and how often are you replacing it completely?
What are you seeing currently in regards to the bait ?
We appreciate the opportunity to speak with you and look forward to doing so.

Not the same
By Mayra on 07/21/2022
The first time I bought this product it was wonderful I was surprised how fast the roaches were dropping dead.this second time around I feel like I'm just feeding them it's not making any difference.the first time it took two tubes to get rid of them now I used the 4 tubes and nothing im really disappointed...
Expert response:
We apologize you did not achieve the intended results. Roaches can develop bait aversion if exposed to the same bait, it is recommended to rotate every 3-4 months if you still need to treat between different baits for this reason. We would welcome the opportunity to troubleshoot the application to help get you the results you need. Please contact us at your earliest convenience!
Dries out, doesn't work
By April on 08/17/2022
Dries and becomes hard before roaches are able to eat any. Didn't work for us and can't return it. :(
Expert response:
We apologize you did not achieve the intended results. Advion will dry and still be effective. It is suggested to replace bait placements every couple of weeks (cleaning up previous bait placements). Please take a few moments to review our treatment article for other pro tips on eradication. Please let us know if you need anything else. We appreciate your business!

Expected better results.
By Timothy on 08/19/2022
After treating my house thoroughly for over a month I decided to boost the treatment at the end using rotation A. Have seen no improvement it's been almost a month now.
Expert response:
We apologize you did not achieve the intended results Baits alone are not usually enough to eliminate a roach infestation, it is best to use a combination of products such as those in the kits for best results.
Fast shipping, bad product
By Myrlande on 09/09/2022
I wasted my $34 on this, it doesn't work at all. I was trying to avoid buying it on Amazon since I wasted money on the same product on Amazon before. I wish I can get a refund.
Expert response:
We hope you will take a few minutes to review our Roach Control Guide for tips, videos, and product recommendations for treating roaches: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/roaches-c-2.html We generally recommend to use bait along with an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) and a residual spray, as well as incorporating non-chemical sanitation to achieve the best roach control. If you have a severe infestation where you are seeing roaches every day, then it may take weeks or even months to complete eradicate the population. We are also happy to help via telephone at 866-581-7378 M-F 9a-5p EST.
Highly Disappointed
By Mike on 09/17/2022
I have used this before and it worked great, the roaches would come out and eat it almost right away and I would not see any more for nearly a year or more, this time they are not eating it, I have seen them walk straight by it without even stopping, it is not worth the money anymore they must have changed the formula
Expert response:
Roaches can develop bait aversion is they are repeatedly exposed to the same bait, it is recommended to rotate to a different bait every 3-4 months if you still need to treat.
Second purchase after 2yrs
By Boby on 06/24/2023
It worked the first time abput 2 years ago and this second it has done nothing. I placed it everywhere and they walk over it like nothing. I read somewhere to mix it with sugar so I tried that and it also didnt do anything. I'm really dissapointed because it worked so well before. I'm not sure if it's a bad batch or what.
Expert response:
Greetings,
We are sorry to hear the Advion did not work as expected. It is never recommended to mix baits with anything as they are designed to work as it and already contain food based attractants to draw them to, it should also be used only in areas of activity and up high away from any areas that you may spray or clean frequently. It is recommend to rotate baits if you still need to treat after 3-4 months. Also make sure you are limiting any other food sources for them to be attracted to so they have no choice but to go for the bait.
Didn't work
By Shami on 08/02/2023
I put Gel bait it didn't work at all …….I never buy I spend my money for nothing . I am disappointed. Not even one roaches die…….
Expert response:
Roach infestations can take time to completely eliminate and a combination of products to get the most effective elimination. Also baits should be rotated every 3-4 months if you still need to treat to prevent resistance
With baits you should start to see a reduction in roaches within a few days but doing your part non chemically is also key. We have a guide below that explains how to get rid of roaches in a home that can explain the correct treatment to ensure you are effectively eliminate them

Not Effective
By Ali on 11/04/2023
I used to apply advance gel before for roaches and it was highly effective, a little application would do wonders, and here I used the complete pack of 4 but hardly any change It is either fake, old or simply not good. I noticed that it dries up very quickly, how the roaches will eat it? Also the ones that ate it very roaming around freely. Bad purchase, money lost.
Expert response:
We apologize the Advion did not work as expected. Typically we do hear of treatment failures when the same bait is used repeatedly. It is recommended that you rotate roach baits to avoid resistance issues. Please reply to this email or give us a call at 866-581-7378 and we will be happy to help you select an alternative bait.
Doesn't Work
By A on 11/07/2023
Waste of money, dries very fast, roaches eat it and keep roaming around.
Expert response:
Advion Roach Bait Gel is a slow kill so that it has time to be taken back to the colony and spread. Roaches can start dying within a few hours to longer. How long it takes to eliminate a roach infestation depends on how large the infestation is, how consistent and thorough you are being with treatments and what products you are using. You will still see roaches when using the bait due to the slow kill. Advion Roach Bait gel is typically not used alone but in combination with other products. We have a great article for eliminating them that can offer some great advice; you can find it below.

I know people love this stuff but...
By April on 11/12/2014
It just has not been all that for me. This stuff seems to knock them back temporarily, but does not last. I have purchased the boxes. I have blobs of the gEl encrusted everywhere around my house, but am getting no lasting relief. I am hoping some of the borax solutions from youtube are going to work. Also goin to try Demon Residual skyway for issue.
Expert response:
If you have an established roach population, then we would also recommend using a residual spray such as Demon WP and an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) such as Gentrol Point Source Stations for the fastest, most complete control: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/gentrol-point-source-p-51.html
Please see our article How to Get Rid of Roaches for more tips: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/how-to-get-rid-of-german-roaches-a-245.html

Roach Gel
By Gloria on 11/18/2014
I used Advion Roach Gel about 6 months ago and it worked in 3 days roaches gone. Just put out more of it a week ago and still got roaches, I think i got a bad or weak supply, cause it does not seem to be working as well this time.
Expert response:
If you have been using the same bait continually for several months, then it is possible for roaches to breed resistance to the bait, so you would need to rotate baits. A good bait to rotate with Advion would be Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/maxforce-fc-roach-bait-gel-p-52.html.
Also, if you have an established roach population, then it may take several bait applications to work through the population. We would also recommend using an Insect Growth Regulator in conjunction with roach baits, such as the Gentrol Point Source Stations: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/gentrol-point-source-p-51.html

Skepital about product performance
By George on 11/26/2015
Early fall seen a few roaches here and there I was concerned about having an infestation so I ordered this product and used as directed around problem areas.have been using the product for about a month now and I occasionally see one here and there as before the bait doesn't appear to be eaten so I'm assuming I don't have a real problem that it's only a few strays that have come indoors to find shelter from the cold ..so it's hard to say if the product works or not..

Advion Roach Bait Gel
By Linda on 05/24/2016
Loved the product the first time I used it one year ago. Roaches ran to eat it. This year I bought the product again but results were disappointing. Roaches ignored gel. Didn't think they could get used to product with only one use last year. Adding enticements with it such as honey, etc.

Advion Roach Bait Gel
By Joy on 07/06/2016
Product doesn't seem to be working as it should. I have used as directed in every room in my house that I saw roaches and I am still seeing 1 or 2 here and there. May have to try a different product.
Expert response:
Please be sure to read our Roach Guide to learn how to eliminate roaches completely. In most cases you will need to use more than bait to eliminate them : http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/how-to-get-rid-of-roaches-a-458.html

Advion
By Crystal on 12/07/2016
I read alot of reviews before I bought this stuff and everyone made it out to what it's not. It does not work!! It's a waste of money in my opinion. I won't use this product ever again
Expert response:
Thank you for your comments! How quickly and effectively roach bait gel works will depend a lot upon factors like sanitation (eliminating competing food and water sources), how large the population is, and whether we are using enough bait for the population. Please take a few moments to review our Roach Treatment Guide for more information on how to implement a successful roach treatment program. Please let us know if we can further assist you any time!

I'm not sure what happen.
By Leslie on 03/31/2017
I'm not sure what happen.... the first time I used this product, there were dead bugs everywhere. I ordered some more (cause the bugs came back ) but it didn't do good. I've probably seen 3 or 4 dead bugs.
Expert response:
If you have been using the same roach bait for an extended amount of time, then it is possible for the roaches to become averse to the bait, meaning they basically get tired of the same food. This is why our Roach Control Kits are set up in Rotation A, B, and C with different baits in each kit. These kits also include residual spray and an Insect Growth Regulator for a complete roach treatment:

We also have a great Roach Treatment Guide here:
