    Why should I not use more than one type of bait in a single Ant Cafe?
    I have not been able to find a source for this suggestion, and it seems counter-intuitive...

    You only want to use one type of bait in the Ant Cafe Refillable Bait Station - Bag (48 stations) because there is only one reservoir. There is nothing to separate them.

    What is the diameter of the entry holes in the Ant Cafe Refillable Bait Stations?
    I'm looking for a bait station that would allow larger insects to enter.

    The holes in the Ant Cafe Refillable Bait Stations are less than 1/2 centimeter in diameter.  These stations are only meant to be used for ants.

    Will the Ant Cafe work on red ants?

    The Ant Cafe Bait Station is the add-your-own-bait refillable container which does not include the bait. We do offer a Complete Ant Kit that will treat a variety of ants. We recommend applying a fire bait granule for fire ant treatment such as the Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait.

    Will Ant Cafe Refillable Bait Station work for larger black carpenter ants?s
    I noticed on questions and answers on one of the other bait stations you suggested the Ant Cafe large for carpenter ants thank you.

    The Ant Cafe Refillable Bait Stations are not recommended for use with carpenter ants as their larger size typically prevents them from gaining easy access, and traditionally they will avoid smaller stations like these and go for other food sources in the environment. You would want to consider either a station like the Ants No More Bait Stations for outdoor use, or use a granule bait that can be scattered lightly in areas of heavy activity, outside of pet and children reach.
