If applying Tenacity Herbicide for pre emergent control in late fall or early spring, the timing of the application is important in order to prevent weeds from germinating. For best results, Tenacity should be applied at the same time as overseeding for weed prevention. Results can also depend on the specific weeds you are targeting and if Tenacity is listed to control them as a pre emergent or as a post emergent. For specific timing recommendations, we like to recommend checking with your County Extension Office for their recommendations as this can vary from region to region. For a full list of Weeds Controlled by Pre/Post Emergent applications, refer to page 9 on the product label. Remember, for post emergent control of weeds with Tenacity – a non ionic surfactant is needed.
