The Boracare label gives an approximation or how much solution to use for a typical unfinished basement (floor boards, joists, etc). How much should I use (approximately) on a 1000 square foot unfinished basement?
1.5 pounds of Timbor will treat up to 200 sq. ft of untreated wood. Apply Timbor at a rate of 5 gallons of liquid solution per 1000 square feet of wood surface area. Therefore, you will need to calculate the total of the wood surfaces you wish to treat in the basement to find the amount of Timbor needed.
