Nuvan ProStrips should be safe if applied as directed on the product label. They are applied in confined areas and will be fine if placed in a container that is sealed or a trash bags to eradicate bedbugs on those items that cannot be washed/dried or treated another way that are infested. You would have to leave them sealed in containers for at least 2 weeks to kill anything on them. We have an inspection guide here that can help determine if they are actually infested. Once you remove from the bag/container just allow items to air out for a few hours before handling
