Are vegetables safe to eat after application?

Product says it's for vegetables also. I've seen other answers about citrus fruit being safe to eat after applcation, but what about things like pepper and tomatoes? Why can it only be applied once/year but it's supposed to be safe to eat tomatoes after 21 days?

Answer:

Yes, vegetables are safe for consumption after applying Monterey Fruit Tree & Vegetable Systemic Soil Drench provided you wait the recommended Pre Harvest Interval time as directed on the product label. For peppers and tomatoes, the PHI is 21 days after the applicaiton.  View the additional fruits and vegetables listed on the product label for specific PHI information.  The restriction regarding “only one application per year” is determined by the manufacturer thefore they would be better to advise. Monterey Lawn & Garden can be reached at (559) 499-2100.
