We cannot confirm that Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator would break down bat guano. Since bat guano carries a lot of disease and risk in clean up we would recommend hiring a professional for this task. Bac-A-Zap is a ready to use product that is generally applied by itself so it would not be advised to mix anything with it.
Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator ready-to-use quart bottle spray can be used as needed on carpet surfaces directly from the bottle at a rate of 1 quart per 100 square feet for severe odors. It does not specifically list any possibly damage to wool on that surface on the product label. We have not had any reports of damage to wool but you can contact Nisus for more details at 800-264-0870.
We would not recommend using Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator in a carpet cleaning machine. You can purchase the product ready-to-use in the quart bottle and spray as needed on carpet surfaces directly from the bottle at a rate of 1 quart per 100 square feet for severe odors. We do have a concentrate called Odaway Odor Eliminator Concentrate that can be diluted in a sprayer bottle at a rate of 1:5 with water or added to cleaning or laundry, so that product may work better for you, depending on the type of machine that you have. We do recommend checking with the manufacturer of the machine for what type of products work best in it.
