Hoping it works!
By Mississippi on 10/20/2017
I was diagnosed with large patch disease (rhizoctonia) in my centipede lawn by the extension service representative in September 2017. I had large patches, some 20 ft in diameter of dead and dying grass. The rep. suggested using Bayleton. I had previously treated these areas wth a granular product I picked up at Lowe's. It certainly didn't stop my problem from getting worse. I treated the first time on the first of October 2017. I did the second treatment on the 20th of October. In between treatments hurricane Nate came through and did quite a lot of damage to my yard. While doing the second treatment I looked closely at the affected areas and the surrounding healthy areas. At the second treatment it appears the Bayleton stopped the progression of the fungus into non-affected areas. The turf in the badly affected areas are not showing any significant signs of recovery. In those areas the affected turf is still dry in appearance, yellow blades and not showing any new growth. It is towards the end of our growing season so I don't expect much new growth but healthy turf is still growing so I'm not sure how well this is working so far. The product is easy to use. I use a kitchen scale to measure out the exact amount recommended and mix it in a 4 gallon back pack sprayer. I treat approximately 1,000 sq. ft. with one mix. The product dissolves readily in the water and doesn't foam too bad. Will have to report back an a week or so after the second treatment to see how it goes.
