    Which spray product is best to kill bed bugs and the bed bug eggs on furniture such as dressers and tables?
    A
    Bedlam , Bedlam Plus and Steri-fab known to kill adult bed bugs and their eggs  Bedlam will leave a 6 week residual and Steri-Fab is a contact kill only so it is great for sensitve areas like couches, chairs, and mattresses.

    difference between bedlam spray and bedlam plus
    What is the difference between the bedlam plus for bed bugs and the regular bedlam spray. The plus is more expensive. Is it a stronger grade? Longer residual? Or are they identical?
    A
    The Bedlam Plus has all of the ingredients from regular Bedlam plus an extra added ingredient called imidacloprid which makes it work much better for folks that are dealing with pyrethroid resistant strains of bedbugs. Bedlam plus does not last longer than regular bedlam.

    Can Bedlam Bed Bug Aerosol Spray be used on bed sheets?
    The Bedlam Insecticide instructions say to spray on garments - can we spray this product directly on our sheets before going to bed - perhaps after allowing it to dry for about 10-15 minutes and then placing another clean sheet over it?

    We would not recommend spraying your sheets. Bedbugs do not live on the sheets and this would not be a good use of the product. Instead, concentrate on treating the mattress, headboard, footboard, rails and surrounding areas. Allow the Bedlam to dry on the mattress first and then sleep on a clean sheet that is over the treated area.

    What is the best treatment for carpets when treating for bed bugs?
    A
    Bed Bugs actually do not normally hang out on the carpets and usually the carpets would be the last place to treat.  Most treatments are directed in cracks and crevices, around the bed, baseboards, and harborage areas where bed bugs like to hide.  You can use Bedlam on carpets as well as Steri-Fab.

    How long does Bedlam aerosol last?
    We have an infestation so far, in our bedroom, trying to keep them contained in one room and we have sprayed adjoining rooms as well. However, we are spraying nearly daily and still they show up at night..last night's count just five. We are still laundering and washing and steaming our clothes. Have also steamed the floors, all wood of course. Do we have to spray the mattress cover daily...how do we find the eggs?

    Bedlam will typically last for 6 weeks under normal conditions.  The bedbugs that walk over the area will die, but they will not die instantly.  It can take up to a few hours for them to die, so you will still see them.  The only product that we have that kills on contact is Steri-Fab and even still, contact means it takes minutes, not instantly.  If you have only used Bedlam, you may want to use some of the other products found in our bed bug kits.

    Does Bedlam have an odor? If so, how strong is it and is it long-lasting?
    A
    Bedlam Insecticide does not have a strong odor.  It is very slight, and we have never had a complaint about the odor.  This product dries very quickly and any odor that is detected does not last very long at all due to the fact that it dries quickly.

    Can you spray BedLam on sofas? Is this safe?

    Yes you can use Bedlam on sofas but it must be kept to the seams, tufts and folds only. You cannot spray Bedlam on the surface of the cushions or arm rests.

    After use of Bedlam, how long do I wait until dogs can return to the house?

    Once Bedlam Insecticide is dry, your animals can return to the area. This could take anywhere from 2-3 hours.

    How should I treat the carpet for bedbugs?
    I live in an apartment that is heavily carpeted. I read in one of the earlier comments that they don't really hang out on carpets, but what if the whole room is carpeted?
    A
    Usually, bedbugs will only be under the edge of the carpet where the carpet ends near the baseboards and where the furniture legs sit on the carpet. It may be necessary to pull the carpet up around the edges and apply a dust such as Evergreen Dust under the edge. You can spray the carpet where the legs of the furniture rest to eliminate any bedbugs in that area. Bedbugs do not infest carpeting like fleas.

    Is Bedlam Insecticide safe to use around my cat?
    We currently don't have bedbugs, but am concerned about getting them from a neighbor who currently does. We want to use something as a preventative treatment, but have a cat and are concerned for her safety. Is this treatment safe for her, even after it dries?
    A
    When used as directed on the product label, Bedlam is not harmful to cats. Be sure to remove your cat from the area that is being treated and you can let her back into the area after the spray has dried. Bedlam will not prevent bedbugs. You can apply an insecticide dust such as the Alpine dust to cracks and crevices around baseboards and into wall voids to help stop an infestation from moving through adjoining walls. We also recommend using bedbug proof mattress and boxspring encasements on all beds to help eliminate the tufts, folds and seams where bedbugs like to hide and make inspections easier.

    Can I spray my child's backpack with Bedlam to prevent bedbugs from coming home with her from school?
    A
    We would not recommend spraying your child's backpack with any product. Children are in direct contact with their backpack for a long period everyday, and they would be coming into contact with any insecticide sprayed onto the back for a long period too. It would be better to just use a heat treatment on the backpack. You can put the backpack into the dryer on medium or high heat for about an hour to kill any insect or insect egg that may be present.

    What is the difference between BedLam and Cyzmic CS?
    They both seem to leave a residue but do they both kill the eggs also?
    A
    If you are referring to bed bug eggs, then Bedlam is the best product available at this time and it does kill all stages of bed bugs, including the eggs.  Also it comes in a ready to use aerosol can.  Cyzmic CS is a liquid insecticide that is listed for bed bugs but it does not kill the eggs.  Also, it requires mixing with water in a one gallon hand pump sprayer.

    Is it safe to spray bedlam on the seams of our mattress?
    If bedlam is an insecticide then how can it be safe to sleep on our bed everynight?

    Bedlam Insecticide is a residual aerosol designed to kill target pests on contact. It is ideal for crack and crevice treatments on mattresses and concentrate on tufts, folds, and seams. It does state on the label to keep pets, children, and anyone not applying the product out of the treatment area for at least 30 minutes, or until product is dry and does give off a very low odor to it.

    Is bedlam safe to use on pillows?
    A
    You can use Bedlam to treat the folds and seams of pillows if needed. An even better plan would be to toss the pillow into the dryer on high heat for about 20-30 minutes because that would kill any insect or insect egg that happened to be on it.

    How much area does a can of bedlam cover approximately?
    A
    It is really hard to give an estimate on how far each can of Bedlam will go because most people are not treating around the perimeter of the room, but they are treating pieces of furniture. Most people report that a can of Bedlam will treat all of the seams and cracks and crevices in all of the furniture for a typical size bedroom when used as directed on the can.

    Yes, Bedlam and Bedlam Plus are safe to use in a home where you have pets. You just need to keep pets and children out of the area you plan to treat until the surfaces have completely dried. Bedlam should not be used directly on a pet.

    Please explain the difference between the dust products, like Delta Dust, Evergreen Dust, and Alpine Dust.
    You've mentioned several different dust products. What's the difference in them, meaning the appropriate place to apply or their best usage?
    A
    The dusts would really be applied in all the same areas following the instructions on the product labels.  Where you use them is really dependent on what type of pest you are treating for.   The main differences are in the active ingredients and features.  Alpine insecticide dust is the industry's first and only Reduced Risk non repellent dust that contains Dinotefuran and Diatomaceous Earth for quicker kill broad-spectrum use.  Delta Dust had Deltamethrin and is the world's first and only 100% waterproof insecticide dust.  Evergreen Dust is a 1% Pyrethrin botanical insecticide, meaning it's all natural.  They are all really labeled for the same types of pests.

    Is Bedlam a product that can be used to treat luggage? Or is something better?
    Can Bedlam and Phantom be used together? Or is this over kill.

    The most commonly used product for bedbug control on luggage is JT Eaton Luggage spray. This product is labeled for use on luggage and will last for up to two weeks. You can use Bedlam and Phantom for bedbugs, but you would need to use them in separate areas. Phantom is a non-repellent insecticide and if you use Bedlam in the same area that applied Phantom then that non-repellent factor will be gone.

    Is Bedlam a non-repellent like Phantom? Or will the bugs not come into contact with it?
    Using bedlam for a bedbug problem and I am wondering if the residual will just keep the bugs at bay until the effect is gone or if bedbugs will walk through it. I guess what I'm asking is if the bugs know that the bedlam spray is there.

    Bedlam is not a non-repellent product. You should try to make direct contact with as many of the bedbugs and their eggs as possible when treating with Bedlam. The repellent nature of the product, which would make the bedbugs try to avoid the treated areas, usually dissipates enough for bedbugs to cross treated areas after a day or so.

    What are the ingredients in Bedlam and Phantom?

    We can only tell you the active ingredients in these products. All of the other ingredients are proprietary and the manufacturers will not share them, so that they can protect the formulas from being copied. Bedlam contains Sumithrin and MGK-264. Phantom contains Chlorfenapyr.
