According to B&G, the Versafoamer cannot be changed into a sprayer. Some of the seals and hoses are interchangeable from the B&G sprayer and foamer but you cannot change a sprayer into a foamer nor a foamer into a sprayer.
Unless otherwise noted most insecticides must be mixed with a foaming agent such as Profoam if you wish to use the insecticide in a foaming applicator. Profoam is not an insecticide it is only a foaming agent.
We do not recommend that you use gasoline or ethanol in any sprayer because of their flash points. If you fail to use a foaming agent the liquid would come out the tip in a sputtering manner and of course not in a foam.

In liquid that is left in the straw applicator portion may leak out after the application. Anything beyond that piece should not leak at all.
