Bifen IT is labeled to treat for insects in Poultry Houses. Be sure to review the product label prior to treatment. You must make sure your chickens are out of the area while you apply Bifen and then they can return to the area as soon as it is dry.
Bifen IT will kill Cicada Killers. We also recommend to apply Delta dust in the holes in soil.
Bifen IT should NOT be applied to livestock. We do carry other products that can be applied for insect control safely on livestock including Hi-Yield Lawn, Garden, Pet and Livestock Insect Control.
Yes, you can mix an insecticide like BIfen IT and a fungicide like Honor Guard PPZ together in the same tank as long as niether product label prohibits such mixtures. Be sure always to follow the more restrictive product label and to plan your dilution rates correctly for each product in the volume of water you are using. We suggest a small jar test before mixing a large amount of products together for the first time.
When treating for Japanese Beetles, you will use 0.25 - 0.5 oz of Bifen IT per gallon of water on ornamental shrubs and trees. If you're treating your lawn, you will use 0.5 - 1.0 oz per gallon of water.
Bifen IT will effectively get rid of mosquitoes that can spread dangerous diseases like West Nile, the Zika Virus, etc. It is mixed at 1 oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft once a month on the exterior areas. Bifen IT is labeled to treat for clover mites when used accordingly. Clover mites are barely smaller than a pinhead. You may notice clover mites as dark red moving specks which occur in large numbers. They are generally found crawling aroudn doors, windows, sidings, curtains, or furniture. Be sure to treat the ground at least 5-10 feet from the structure where you are seeing the clover mites.

The label does not authorize to apply Bifen IT to any type of carpeting. You will want to focus treat the cracks and crevices of the room along baseboards, corners, door and window frames with a hand pump sprayer for a residual control. We advise to vacuuming consistently and sanitizing the treated area will help eliminate the fleas quicker. We also suggest using an IGR (insect growth regulator) such as Archer IGR to prevent the future infestation from developing for a better control.
Bifen IT is a great solution for control for chiggers! You will need to apply at a rate of 1 fluid ounce to 1 gallon of water and to apply around the permiter of the property as well as areas where the most activity is found.Â
It is not necessary to wear protective clothing, however, you can when using Bifen IT. It is recommended that you keep your pets and children out of the area until the product has dried completely. It is safe to return to the area once the product has dried completely. Please check the SDS for any additional information regarding carcinogenic.
Yes, Bifen IT can be applied to any bushes, shrubs, trees, and landscaped areas as well as flowering plants like roses. However, you should minimize the spray on the actual flowering rose as you do not want it to get on any bees that help with pollination.
We are not sure what type of worm would be considered a "red worm" as you have described.  If you are referring to earthworms, Bifen IT is not labeled for earthworms, because they are a beneficial but it may cause harm to them if they contact a treated area.  Though they are pretty protected by the mucus on their bodies. This small amount of product needed to kill tiny insects would not be enough to harm a bird if they were to ingest a worm that would have contacted the product.
Bifen IT typically only take 1 hour to completely dry on a surface and will hold up very well in the rain, but you should have a minimum of 6 hours between your applicaton and rainfall or irrigation. Bifen IT is rainfast 6 hours after the application, and is recommended to be used with a pump sprayer.

A better option would be to use Bifen Granules in your lawn. This will last 2-3 months in the lawn around your home. This will be watered in to activate the product.
We would recommend using Hi Yield Indoor/Outdoor Permethrin 10% Insecticide. It is safe for use on edibles and is labeled for mosquitoes. The mixing ratio is 1-3 oz. per 4 gallons of water. This will treat approximately 4000 square feet. This can also be used in your lawn for mosquitoes as well.
